Zach Parise Mom and Dad
Zach Praise parents are Jean Paul Parise and Donna Parise. He was born in Prior Lake Minnesota.
They raised Zach in Minneapolis along with his brother Jordan.
Jean also goes by JP, and Donna tied the knot in 1976. Six years after their cheerful marriage, they had their first baby, a boy named Jordan, followed by Zach in 1984.
Mother Donna said to the Athletics that Zach is very much similar to his father, JP Parise, not just in terms of their appearances but in overall personalities. "The biggest thing I see in Zach that J.P. had was his humbleness," she added.
Jean was an NHL legend who appeared in over 900 league games during his playing career. Similar in height and playing position, JP spent most of his career in the Minnesota North Stars and the New York Islanders.
Following his retirement in 1979, Parise ventured into coaching. From 1980 to 1988, he served as an assistant coach in the North Stars organization for eight years. Furthermore, Jean also worked as a scout and executive for several NHL teams.
In April 2008, he became the coach of the United States Hockey League side, the Des Moines Buccaneer, where he helped the team for one season.
JP was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in November 2014. During a post-match interview in January 2015, Zach could not hold himself and broke down in tears because his dad was in critical condition in a hospital bed.
On January 7, 2014, Jean-Paul passed away aged 73 with deteriorating health.

Though he made his comeback, Jordan could not reach his full potential thereon and slowly lost interest in the game. After playing for a few seasons, he finally retired on September 17, 2013.
