Schenk grew up in a family involved in farming. Adam is also the third generation in his lineage to play golf.
His father, uncle, and grandpa were all golfers who drove to Old Vincennes Country Club to play. Seeing Adam's love for golf, they built a temporary practice range with a proper-sized sand wedge.
On the other hand, according to PGA Tour, Adam Schenk's parents live eight miles south of Vincennes, Indiana, and make their living by growing various grasses and crops.
Adam's golf career is commonly associated with watermelon cultivation, as his father had numerous acquaintances who produced melons, one of whom was on the NWA board of directors.
At one of the sessions, his father's friends recommended the collaboration with Adam. The group agreed, stating it was suitable to finance an up-and-coming young golf pro from rural Indiana. The organization wanted to give Adam some exposure and help him get started.
When Adam is not golfing, he shares agricultural chores and assists his parents, who run a 1500-acre extended family farm.
