AEW Fight Forever Match Types
AEW Fight Forever has 10 different match types:
- Singles
- Tag-Team
- 3-Way
- 4-Way
- Ladder
- Falls Count Anywhere
- Casino Battle Royale
- Exploding Barbed Wire Death
- Unsanctioned Lights Out
The singles match is the most common form of professional wrestling, where two competitors face off for a single victory. To secure a win, they can achieve pinfall, submission, knockout, count-out, or disqualification.
A ladder match is a specific type of professional wrestling bout where two or more opponents (or teams) strive to be the first to retrieve a suspended object above the ring.
Typically, a title belt is hung high, and the victor is determined by the contestant who successfully ascends a ladder and retrieves it. As the object is positioned beyond jumping height, ladders are provided by the hosting promotion.
Originating in Japan during the 1990s, the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch is a unique professional wrestling contest. The ring is enclosed by barbed wire rigged to explode upon contact.
The barbed wire may even be equipped with C4 explosives, and the explosions can be triggered by either touching the wire or by a timer.
Conversely, the Casino Battle Royale adopts a modified rumble rules format, providing a unique twist to the traditional battle royal. This variant welcomes a total of 21 entrants, each vying for supremacy within the ring.
Similarly, the Casino Tag Team Royale showcases a competition involving 10-15 tag teams, while the Casino Trios Royale highlights the participation of eight teams.
