Cody Zeller came from an athletic family where his both brothers Luke Zeller and Tyler Zeller are basketball players.

In addition, Zeller also has a basketball-playing uncle, Al Eberhard, who the Detroit Pistons drafted with the 15th pick in the first round of the 1974 NBA draft. 

Sadly, Eberhard's career was plagued by injuries, including a broken ankle that required surgery in the 1978-79 pre-season, leading to his release from Detroit and the end of his playing days. 

Despite this setback, Eberhard positively impacted his community by serving as the Executive Director for the Governor's Council for Fitness and Health in Missouri after retiring from the NBA.

Zeller Grew Up In Washington

Cody Zeller parents Steve Zeller and Lorri Zeller raised him in Washington Indiana.

According to Lorri's Facebook post, the couple has been happily married for 37 years, exchanging their oath on June 2, 1985.

Originally from Springville, Iowa, Lorri is now based in Washington, Indiana. She attended Springville High School and later graduated from Coe College in 1984, just one year before her wedding.

Cody Zeller Has Two Siblings

Cody grew up with two older siblings, Luke and Tyler Zeller. The eldest of the three brothers, Luke Zeller was born on April 7, 1987.

Luke stands at a height of 6 ft and 11 inches. 

Like Cody, he played college basketball, attending the University of Notre Dame. Luke began his professional career playing for several teams in the NBA G League and overseas teams after going undrafted in the 2009 NBA draft.

Tyler Zeller, the middle child, sported college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a key player on their 2009 national championship team as a freshman. 

He went on to have a successful college career, earning All-American honors and being named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in his senior year. 

Tyler was selected 17th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2012 NBA draft and has played for several teams in the NBA, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks.
