Carroll, the oldest of two children, was a multi-sport athlete who rose from the Pacific Northwest. He played tennis, soccer, and baseball and even won a spot on the varsity football team as a freshman.
He would often play multiple sports daily, with tennis practice in the morning and soccer and baseball practice in the afternoon.
Later Carroll played football at the club level in middle school and even managed to impress coaches with his 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds in tennis shoes, earning him the backup quarterback position despite never having played the game before.
Despite his success in all these sports, baseball was the one that captured his intense attention. His passion for baseball is unique because no one in his clan has played it.
Corbin kickstarted his baseball journey by playing for his high school team at Lakeside School in his hometown. He also appeared for the under-18 US national baseball team that won the WBSC Americas in 2018.
Later Carroll attended the University of California to continue academics and represented the college baseball team, UCLA Bruins, before getting picked by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2019 MLB Draft.
