He was appointed the Seattle Seahawks' defensive coordinator in 2013. The Seahawks defense was rock solid at the back under his direction, and the group won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014.

During his time with the Atlanta Falcons as a head coach in 2015. In his first season, he guided the Falcons to a 10-6 record, and in the next season, they won the NFC Championship. After the club concluded the 2020 season with a 4-12 record, Quinn was sacked by the Falcons.

But in 2021, the Cowboys hired him to be their defensive coordinator. Quinn assisted the Cowboys in going from having one of the worst defenses in the NFL to having one of the finest in his first season with the organization. Brian Schottenheimer

Having previously spent time at Seahawks, Jets, Rams, and Georgia University in collegiate football as an offensive coordinator also served as the assistant coach for the Redskins, Chargers, Colts, and Jaguars, he joined the Cowboys as the coaching analyst in 2022 but later got his role promoted to offensive coordinator in 2023.

He is Marty Schottenheimer's son, who was also a coach. He was a quarterback for the University of Florida and the University of Kansas during his college football career.

In 1997, he joined Syracuse University's coaching staff as an assistant. He then joined the Jets in 2006 as their offensive coordinator. In his first season, he guided the Jets to a 10-6 record, and in both 2009 and 2010, the team advanced to the AFC Championship Game.

Schottenheimer joined the Seahawks in 2018 as the offensive coordinator. In each of his three seasons with the team, he contributed to the Seahawks making the playoffs.

Until this time he had already worked for a few other teams. Before joining the Cowboys he was Jaguar's passing game coordinator.

In 2001, he served as a graduate assistant for Idaho State and the next year he worked as a wide receiver for Bucknell. In the 2003 season, he managed New Mexico Highlands as a head coach along with an assistant athletic director role, working there until 2004. Mike Solari, the Offensive Line Coach of the Dallas Cowboys is a former player as well. He played for San Diego State in his college days and for high school, he played for San Francisco El Camino. He has worked as a coach with tons of teams before joining the Cowboys recently in 2023.

His coaching career started at Mission Bay High School in 1976, where he worked for a year till 1977 as an Offensive line coach, then went to MiraCosta College in 1978 in the same former position.

He had already worked with the Dallas in 1987 when he worked as an Assistant offensive line coach and special teams coach, the spell was just for a year.

He then went on to work for various teams like Phoenix Cardinals, Alabama, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and finally Dallas Cowboys staff.

In all the teams that he worked for, he was basically an offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, special teams coach, tight ends coach, and Tight ends coach.

It would not be any surprise to see him taking bigger roles, even as a head coach in the future.
