Female Drivers In NASCAR Truck Series 2023

NASCAR female drivers 2023 Hailie Deegan is ranked 19th. She has been part of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 2021.

Deegan is a full-time competitor in the Truck Series since her rookie season in 2021. Her NASCAR career started with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 2018. In September 2018, she became the first woman to win a race at West Series.

She grabbed two more wins in the West Series the following year and also moved to Ford and DGR-Crosley. Although she has been a full-time racer in the Truck Series since 2021, she made her official debut in October 2020.

Deegan started by driving the No. 1 in her rookie season and currently drives the No. 13 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing. She finished the 2022 season ranked 21st in the Truck Series and had finished in the top 10 twice. 

She has one top-10 finish in 2023 and has a 20.81 average finish. She has a total of four top-10 finishes in the series.

The current female NASCAR drivers competing in the Truck Series is Jennifer Jo Cobb. She has competed in 231 races since 2008.

The 50-year-old driver is not a full-time competitor like Deegan. She competes as a part-time racer and drives the No. 10 for her own truck team, Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing which was opened in 2010.

It was in 2004 when Cobb made her NASCAR debut in the Busch Series and drove No. 50 for Keith Coleman Racing. In the first Truck Series race of her career, she finished 33rd at the Heart of America 200 event held in Kansas.

Her best finish in the series was 16th in 2014  and the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 250 was her last race in which she finished 32nd. She finished in the top 10 once in 2011 and was placed 77th in the 2022 season.

Natalie Marie Decker is the highest-finishing female driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series history. She finished 5th in 2020 and no woman has recorded a better finish than her.

Decker has competed in 32 races in the Truck Series since she made her Truck Series debut in 2019. Her final position was 32nd in the 2019 NextEra Energy 250 race.

Her last race in the Truck Series was in 2020 where she finished 33rd at the end of the season. Her best finish came in 2019 where was placed 19th. She no longer competes in the Truck Series and competes as a part-time driver in the Xfinity and ARCA Menards Series. 

The 61-year-old Tammy Jo Kirk is the pioneer when it comes to woman drivers in the Truck Series. She was the first woman to compete in the Truck Series and has been an inspiration for a lot of race drivers.

Kirk made her Truck Series debut in 1997 after winning the Snowball Derby in 1994 and raced at the 1997 Chevy Trucks Challenge. She drove a No. 07 Ford which was later changed to just 7 for Geoff Bodine Racing.

Later during the season, she drove for MacDonald Motorsports and Circle Bar Racing and drove the No. 72 and 74 respectively. She ran a race each for the two teams and ended her season with a career-best finish of 20th overall.

In 1998, she represented her own racing team known as Kirk Motorsports, and competed in 13 races. Her best finish in the races that year was 13th and drove a No. 51 Ford.

The last race of the season, the Victoria's Voice Foundation 200 in Las Vegas was her last race in the Truck Series and she was placed 29th at the end of the season.

Johanna Long last competed in the Truck Series in 2011 at the WinStar World Casino 350K race. She made her Truck Series debut in 2010 at the AAA Insurance 200. 

She drove a No. 15 Toyota for the Billy Ballew Motorsports team in 2010 and competed in three races with the model. Her best finish was 17th in those three races. She later raced for her family-owned racing team, Panhandle Motorsports, and took part in four races driving a No. 20 Toyota.

At the end of the season, she was placed 47th and the following year, she continued with the No. 20. She competed in the first ten events of the series, and in the 9th race, she finished 11th.

She ended the season and her Truck Series career by finishing 21st at the end of the year and has not taken part in the series as of yet. She moved to the Xfinity Series in 2012 and last competed in 2015. She is also a winner of the Snowball Derby in 2010.

Toni Breidinger started her professional racing career with the 2018 Herr's Potato Chips 200 race of the ARCA Menards Series. Her NASCAR career kickstarted with the Truck Series in 2023.

The 2023 Heart of America 200 held at the Kansas Speedway was the first race that she competed in the Truck Series. She is currently driving a No. 1 Toyota Tundra for Tricon Garage and finished 15th.

She further competed in two more races and has three races in the series as of now and is a part-timer in the Series for now. Breidinger is a young 24-year-old racer with 19 United States Auto Club (USAC) wins and in the coming years will be one to look out for.

Jessica L. Friesen is primarily a dirt track racer and usually takes part in sprint car racing. She has not competed in any other NASCAR Series except for the two races in the Truck Series in 2021 and 2022.

She finished 24th at the 2021 Corn Belt 150 presented by Premier Chevy Dealers which also marked her Truck Series debut and her second race came in 2022 which was the 2022 Clean Harbors 150 presented by Premier Chevy Dealers.

With the 2023 season still in session, she has not started any race this season and is a part-time racer for her family team Halmar Friesen Racing. She will drive the No. 62 Toyota Tundra.

The 58-year-old is a former racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and also the Craftsman Truck Series. She started her NASCAR career in 1991 with the Busch Series.

In her career, she has raced for several racing teams and has driven a number of different models. She started with the Huffman Racing team and drove a No. 77 Buick. Her last race was in 2005 and was a member of the Keith Coleman Racing teams and drive a No. 23 Chevy.

Although she has competed in 69 races in the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series combined, she has only competed in three Truck Series races. She only raced in the series in 2003.

She drove a No. 49 Chevy for the Mike Starr Racing team and her best finish in those three races was 18th. She ended the season with a 72nd-position finish. 

Angela Ruch started her Truck Series career in 2010 when she drove for the Daisy Ramirez Motorsports team. She took on the No. 1 Dodge at the 2010 Kroger 200 race in Martinsville.

In her debut year, that was the only race she participated in. Her next race came all the way in 2019 and she represented NEMCO Motorsports and drove a #8 Chevy. She made her first top-10 finish of her career in the 2019 NextEra Energy 250. She ended the race in 8th position.

She later moved to Niece Motorsports and rove a No. 44 Chevy and ended the 2019 season placing 31st overall. She once again made a move to a new team which was the Reaume Brothers Racing and drove a No. 00 Chevy/Toyota. That year would also be her last year in the Truck Series and ended the season ranked 42nd.

Michele Abbate has only competed once in the Truck Series back in 2021 in the Toyota Tundra 225 in Austin. She competes in the West Coast Championship T2.

She made her debut representing On Point Motorsports and drove a No. 30 Toyota and she finished the race at her career-best 29th. That was her first and last race at the Truck Series and given she is just 35, she may compete in the series at some point in her racing career.
