Forza Motorsport 8 drag racing was not part of the game at launch. The developers entirely focused on circuit racing and drag races might be added later on.

Turn 10 Studios has been keen on focusing on circuit races since the beginning. Even the drift modes were not available for players during the launch.

Forza Motorsport Update 2 is the game's first major update that is scheduled for November 14, 2023. The update will also have a new track.

Most of the tracks that were initially launched will have different sets of layouts that players can play and master. 

The Yas Marina Circuit will be the first track that will be introduced since the game was released. The circuit is located in Adu Dubai and will feature four unique track layouts.
