Henry Cejudo parents are Nelly Rico and Jorge Cejudo. Cejudo family migrated to California from Mexico and settled in with 6 children.
The former UFC Bantamweight Champion had a tough childhood. His father, Jorge, was out of the picture, and his mother, Nelly, had to raise him and his siblings as a single mom.
He started early learning martial arts from his brother Angel Cejudo, a Gold medalist in Olympics freestyle wrestling.
Cejudo also began his combat career doing freestyle but joined MMA in January 2013. A year later, he inked a contract to play in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
His impressive record of 18-2 will be put to the test on May 6, 2023, at UFC 288, when he fights Aljamain Sterling. This will be his first bout in three years.
