Most of this list consists of the forward position players since they are on the offensive path. Forwards always have an eye for the goal inside the opponent's side of the field.

Roberto Dinamite is a former Brazilian center-forward who has scored an astounding 511 goals in his career.

He played for the Brazilian football club Vasco da Gama since joining in 1971 and played there for almost ten seasons. He joined Barcelona for a brief spell in January of 1980 but came back to Vasco de Gama again right in July. He made 753 appearances for Vasco de Gama and scored 474 goals.

He has played in 476 leagues worldwide and won the Brazilian Serie A and Carioca championships.  Due to his contribution to Vasco, he was made the club president back in 2008. 

He was also in the national team for Brazil in the 1978 World Cup, where he scored five goals in 8 appearances. He was also called for the 1982 World Cup and was involved as the reserve player. He appeared in 47 games for Brazil and scored 25 goals. 

He retired in 1993, ending his professional career after 32 years.

Luis Suarez is an Uruguayan striker who has scored 520 goals in his career.

He has played for many famous clubs in Europe, including Liverpool, Barcelona, and Athletico Madrid. The 35-year-old is currently playing for his Uruguayan club, Nacional, from where he started his career back in 2005. 

Suarez made his mark for Liverpool one year after joining the 2011/12 season.  He got to play as the first choice and quickly cemented himself as a goal-scoring machine. He made 17 goals in 39 appearances for Liverpool that season. His peak in Liverpool came when he scored 31 goals in just 37 appearances in his 2013/14 season. 

He was equally terrifying in Barcelona and scored 195 goals in 283 appearances. His peak was in the 2015/16 season, where he scored 59 goals in just 53 games for Barca. In 2020, he was sold to Athletico Madrid but continued his goal-scoring streak by making 21 goals in 38 appearances. 

For Uruguay, he has played 136 games and has scored 68 goals. He has played in 2010, 2014, and 2018 World Cups, helping the Uruguayan team reach the semi-finals in these prestigious tournaments.

The Hungarian forward Gyorgy Sarosi is on this list with a scoring record of 526. 

He started his career in 1930 till his retirement in 1948. He played all his club career in the Hungarian football club, Ferencvaros. There he made 351 goals in just 383 appearances. 

He was also a star player in the Hungarian national team, where he played in the 1934 and 1938 World Cup. He was the captain of the 1938 team and scored 5 goals in that tournament. He made a total of 42 goals for Hungary in 62 appearances.

Alfredo Di Stéfano is from Argentina and has scored 530 goals in his career. 

Alfredo started his professional career at the Argentinian football club River Plate in 1945 and scored 53 goals. However, his legendary status came from his success in Real Madrid which he joined in 1953. There he scored a terrific 305 goals in 394 appearances. He was the primary reason for Real Madrid's domination in La Liga in the 1950s and 60s. 

In his International career, he played for Argentina initially. However, FIFA banned him from playing for Argentina due to making appearances for Colombia prior. That's why he joined Spain and created 23 goals in 31 appearances. He got to play in the 1962 World Cup for Spain.

Seeler spent almost all his life playing for the German football club Hamburg SV. He joined in 1954 and scored 471 goals in 556 Hamburg appearances. He also made achievements by winning the German League and the DFB Pokal for his club. 

Seeler was also prolific in his international career, playing 4 World Cups for West Germany in 1958, 1962, 1966, and 1970. He helped his team reach the finals in the 1966 World Cup. He has scored 43 goals for West Germany in 72 appearances.

McGrory spent his club career in the Scottish League, where he played most of his time for the Celtic. He joined the Celtic in 1922 and went on to become its legend.

The Celtic legend made a remarkable 522 goals in just 501 appearances. His goals led to Celtic winning the Scottish league and Glasgow Cup many times. 

At the international level, McGrory scored six goals in 7 appearances for them. The World Cup didn't come during his prime time, as it was founded in 1930. However, he was involved in that time's British Championships.

Fernando Peyroteo is a Portuguese forward who has scored 553 goals in his career. 

Peyroteo played all his career devoted to his Portuguese football club, Sporting.  He joined in 1937, played 325 games, and scored an impressive 524 goals. He retired in 1950 and contributed to getting 5 Primeira Liga and 4 Portuguese Cups for Sporting. 

At the international level, Peyroteo made 20 appearances for Portugal's national team and scored 14 goals. He couldn't play in the World Cup, as Portugal didn't qualify during his time.

Zlatan has played for various clubs worldwide and has plenty of goals for each of them. He rose to fame when he joined Inter Milan in the 2006/07 season. He scored 57 goals in his time there. Later, he joined Inter's rival, AC Milan, and scored 56 goals in just two seasons.

In 2012, he joined Paris St. Germain and scored 113 goals in 122 games. Later, he joined his old-time coach, Mourinho, and helped the struggling Manchester United to win the Europa League. He spent his entire club career in Northern Ireland. He started in 1987 by joining his Northern Irish football club, Ards. However, his historical moments came for two clubs, i.e., Glenavon and Linfield. He scored 99 goals in 204 appearances for Glenavon and 175 goals in 320 appearances for Linfield. He retired in 2011, playing for Lisburn Distillery. 

Ferguson hasn't been as prolific in his international run, as Northern Ireland doesn't have a prominent football status like their UK counterparts. However, he did make 5 appearances for them but focused much of his career on club activities.

He has played much of his prime career in the Bundesliga. He joined Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and scored 74 goals in 131 games over 4 seasons. Then, he transferred to Bayern Munich in the 2014/15 season. It was at Bayern that he showed his unmatched skills as a finisher. He played 252 games for Bayern and scored 238 goals for them. 

In 2022, the 34-year-old striker joined Barcelona and scored 13 goals in 14 appearances, with more still to come. 

Lewandowski has been the star player for Poland over the years. He has played 136 games for them and scored 77 goals. He made a hat-trick in the 2018 World Cup match against Armenia and is the highest goal scorer for Poland too.

He spent his club activities in the English League and the NIFL. His significant goal-scoring moments came when he joined Linfield FC, where he played 183 games and scored an astounding 286 goals. He also played for Chelsea and retired in 1939. 

He played for the Irish side to compete in multiple British Home Championships, made 12 appearances, and scored 9 goals.

He spent much of his club career in the Portuguese club, Benfica. He joined in 1960, scored 471 goals, and made 441 appearances till he left the club in 1975. After that, he continuously changed clubs, year after year, and only made a little progress there. 

 At the international level, Eusebio started playing for Portugal in 1961 and scored 41 goals in 64 appearances. His most prominent appearance was in the 1966 World Cup against North Korea in the quarter-final, where he scored a hat trick to win the game.

Muller was prolific in his international career too. He made 62 games for the national team and scored 68 goals. He was also a star player for the West German side in the 1974 World Cup, scoring four goals and clinching the prestigious trophy.

Jones saw his fame and status rise when he joined the Northern Irish side of Glenavon in 1951. He made 222 appearances and scored 269 goals for them for 12 seasons.

He helped Glenavon to win the 3 Irish Leagues and 3 Irish Cups.

Internationally, he wasn't active, as he made only three appearances for Northern Ireland and scored 1 goal in the 1956 British Home Championship. He retired in 1965.

Josef Bican is an Austrian Czech forward who scored 720 goals in his remarkable career. 

Bican's goal-scoring phenomenon started when he joined the Austrian club Rapid Wien in 1931 and scored 68 goals in 61 games. There he won the Austrian Bundesliga with them. 

Then, he transferred to the Czech football club Slava Praha in 1936 and then made an excellent record of scoring 547 goals in just 301 games. His goals contributed to Slava Praha winning the Czechoslovak First league five times in his time. 

Internationally, he played for both Austria and Czechoslovakia. He made 19 appearances for the Austrian side and helped them reach the semifinals of the 1934 World Cup. In 1938, he switched to Czechoslovakia and played 14 games for them, scoring 12. He took retirement in 1955.

Puskas spent his dominant career for two clubs. The first one is Budapest Honved, where he joined in 1943 and scored 357 goals in 347 games. Due to his goalscoring record, the team won 4 Hungarian League titles. 

The second club is the famous Real Madrid. He joined the club in 1958 and went on to become its legend. He scored 242 goals in 262 matches. With Madrid, he went on to win 6 La Liga titles and 1 Copa Del Rey.

In 1985, Romario joined Vasco de Gama and scored 17 goals in 47 games. He rejoined the club in 2002 and then in 2005. Overall, he has made 265 goals from 351 appearances for Vasco. There he won Brazil's Serie A and Carioca titles. 

He also joined Barcelona in 1993 and scored 39 goals in 65 games. In his time at Barca, he won 1 La Liga title. In 1995, he left Barca and went to another Brazilian club, Flamengo. There played 205 games and scored an immpressive 184 goals.

The Brazilian legend played his club career, scoring goals for his club, Santos. He joined Santos in 1956 and made 618 goals in 636 appearances. He helped Santos to get 4 Taca Brasil titles. 

Pele doesn't need any introduction for his World Cup success. He started playing for Brazil in 1957 and quickly led his country to great success by winning three world cups in 1958, 1962, and 1970.

He dedicated most of his career to Barcelona, which he joined in 2000 from the youth team. He started to rise in the 2008/09 season as he got more playtime and experience. That season, he scored 38 goals in 51 appearances.

He has played 778 games for Barcelona and is currently Barca's highest goal scorer with 672 goals. He has won 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona and 4 Champions League. 

In 2021, he made a shock exit from Barcelona and joined the Paris club, Paris St. Germain. There too, he continued scoring, scoring 23 in 53 games.

Internationally, Messi led Argentina to the World Cup final in 2014 but ultimately lost to Germany. He has scored 93 goals for Argentina in just 167 games. Even though he hasn't won the World Cup, the 35-year-old Argentinian recently got his hands on the Copa America title in 2021.

Christiano saw his goal-scoring phenomena excel when he landed at Manchester United in 2003. In his time for United, he played for six seasons and scored 84 goals in 196 games. 

However, he spent his prime time in Real Madrid when he joined in 2009. In the 1st season itself, he scored 33 goals in 35 games. In his time as a Real Madrid player, he made 451 goals in just 438 games, an average of 1 goal per game. 

In 2018, he joined the Italian club Juventus and started there with a blast, scoring 28 goals in 43 games. In the 2021/22 season, he re-joined Manchester United and scored 28 goals in 38 matches.
