Inside Jaylin Family Memories

Jaylin Williams lost his grandmother Cora Williams in November 2021. Cora passed away at the age of 75.

The former Arkansas Razorbacks forward, devastated by the passing for his granny, inked a tattoo of her name on his right arm. Jaylin recalled not being able to make it when she was alive.

Unfortunately, Cora could not witness her grandson getting selected for the NBA Draft. Because of her growing age, she could not travel long distances. So whenever Jaylin played a home game, Cora would sit in the crowd at the stadium and watch him play.

In November 2021, after Arkansas vs. Panthers game, where Jaylin scored 11 points with a fantastic display, he got a text message from his pop Michael. It read Cora was taken into a hospital and was in critical condition.

Jaylin made plans to meet Cora later that day, but he had to postpone them since the Razorbacks practiced the next morning. According to a text message he received three hours later, his grandma had gone suddenly. Jaylin is thankful he could say goodbye to her, even if it were difficult to hear.

According to Jaylin, Cora served as the family's bulwark against chaos. Cora was always the one to settle family disputes, and her home was always the perfect place to celebrate holidays with loved ones. Growing up, he would often visit her house in Fort Smith, playing football or throwing a frisbee in the backyard.
