NESN Bruins Intermission Commentators and Announcers

NESN Bruins announcer is Jack Edwards, who has provided play-by-play for Boston since 2005. He also received the Stanley Cup ring for his work.

Before joining this network, he worked at ESPN from 1991 to 2003. Edwards started as a SportsCenter anchor and later voiced for Little League baseball from 1995 to 2002.

The following year in 1996, he called the X Games and covered ESPN National Hockey Night from 1999 to 2003. Furthermore, Jack also covered the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

He is currently affiliated with Fountainhead Production as their senior partner since 1997. Jack also founded Regret Nothing, LLC, in 2014. The company trains the younger generation of sportscasters under his care.

Andy Brickley 

The former NHLer, Andy Brickley first joined NESN in 2000. He initially worked on road games with broadcaster Dave Shea back then.

He then started to call the Bears games starting in the 2005–06 season alongside Edwards. Since the following season, they have called on all of the game telecasts for the Bruins.

Andy started his career as a broadcaster for the Grizzlies when he was injured in the mid-90s. In 1996, he became the Bruins' radio newscaster.

Brickley became a replacement commentator for the B's television games in the following season. His past brushes with the franchise made it easy for him to join the team full-time in 2000.

Brickley played in NHL from 1982 to 1996 as a left-wing. He was a part of many notable teams, including the Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, and Winnipeg Jets.

Dale Arnold

Dale Arnold has been with the network since 1997. The veteran pundit was a media talent until 2012 and later hopped in as the host for the B's.

Arnold currently serves as a studio host but was an announcer before. Before his play-by-play duties, Dale also co-hosted talk radio shows on WEEI. Arnold took his retirement from radio on March 12, 2021, and is only available for the Bruins TV broadcasts.

Besides the Bruins, Dale has announced major Boston teams, including the Celtics, Red Sox, New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and Boston College Eagles football team.

Hence, he is the only person to have done play-by-play broadcasts for all five of the Boston area's major professional sports franchises.

The 67-year-old does his best to be present in each game. And when he is unable to make the cut, fellow reporter Sophia Jurksztowicz steps in.

NESN Bruins Commentators

The NESN hockey commentators are:

• Barry Pederson
• Billy Jaffe
• Andrew Raycroft
• Andrew Alberts

Barry Pederson is one of the four well-known newscasters on the network. Interestingly, the Bruins are his first ever-NHL team, who had drafted him 18th overall in the first round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.

Pederson played as a center in the hockey league from 1980 to 1992. Besides his broadcasting duties, he also serves as a Financial Advisor for UBS Financial Services in Boston.

Billy Jaffe first joined the network for the 2010-11 season as an analyst for select games. He started as a full-time employee in the 2013-14 season and appears alongside Pederson during the intermission. He also provides commentary for pre and post-game for the Bears.

Before his broadcasting career, he played as a right-wing for the University of Michigan from 1987 to 1989. Jaffe was the team captain of Team USA at the 1997 Maccabiah Games. 

Andrew Raycroft played in NHL from 2000 to 2014 and became a studio analyst for the New England network right after. Besides his pre, post-game, and intermission critique, he co-hosts the "Breaking The Ice" podcast.

Raycroft was drafted 135th overall by Boston in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He later made his national league debut in the 2000–01 season.

Andrew Alberts first joined NESN as a hockey analyst in November 2017. He covers both the NHL and NCAA hockey games. Before joining the commentary panel, Alberts looked after the Boston Bruins Academy Learn to Play.

The hockey sideline reporters, also known as rinkside reporters or ice-level reporter, brings in the unseen and unheard news from the rink.

Boston currently has the following two sideline reporters on its current broadcast roster:

Sophia Jurksztowicz 

The only known female broadcaster on the media team, Sophia Jurksztowicz, reports from the rinkside. She joined the network in August 2019.

Meanwhile, Sophia has continued her work as a host, reporter, journalist, and producer for Sportsnet since 2012. She started her broadcasting career in 2007 with theScoreTV. Since then, she has gradually climbed the ladder of success by taking on various roles on television.

Jurksztowicz graduated from Ryerson University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Radio and Television. She was a sports reporting intern at Corus Entertainment from 2007 to 2009.

While she pursued a career in marketing and promotions at Mosaic Sales Solutions from 2009-10, she eventually opted for a media career.

Andrew Raycroft fills in her position as a sideline reporter when she becomes a studio host. The two swap their positions time and again.

Spectrum provides NESN on channel no. 34 in Maine, 28 in Willimantic, and 37 in Winsted. It usually varies from one region to another.

NESN is a regional channel owned by the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins parent companies. The Red Sox's Fenway Sports Group owns 80% of the share, while the Bruins' Delaware North owns 20%.

Likewise, Spectrum is a telecommunications company that integrates network and internet services to cable channels, internet, telephone, and wireless service providers.

Spectrum has provided New England Sports Network in a big number of states and cities. It has provided its channel listings and distributor names on its official website.
