Wrestler Nia Jax Parents and Samoan Family Ties To Roman Reigns

Nia born as Savelina Fanene spent her formative years in Honolulu Hawaii. She then relocated to San Diego California to attend Carlsbad High School. 

She pursued higher education at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, where she was a collegiate basketball player. She received a degree in marketing from Cal State San Marcos in 2005. Before her career in professional wrestling, she worked as a model for plus-sized clothing.

Nia Jax mom Renate Fanene was on Breaking Ground in 2018. The Australian-born wrestler has always held her mother in the highest regard, admiring her unwavering strength and determination. 

Despite facing numerous difficulties throughout her life, Renate has never let them defeat her offspring. She has instead worked tirelessly to provide for her family. 

Nia and her two siblings were fortunate to be raised by such an amazing woman, who always put their needs before her own, often working multiple jobs to make ends meet.

Despite financial struggles, the family never felt poor, as they were rich in love, which made holidays especially memorable.  

Joseph Fanene Is An Actor

Nia Jax dad Joseph Fanene is an experienced actor born in New Zealand. Joseph is an alumnus of Brigham Young University-Hawaii. 

Throughout his career, Joe has appeared in various productions, including as an extra on the CBS series "Magnum PI" (1985–88) and "Jake And The Fatman" (1988–90). 

He also had a recurring part on the short-lived CBS series "Island Son" (1989–90) and worked on the HBO/Starz series "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" from 2009–2010. 

However, due to a severe car accident, Joe took a 10-year hiatus from acting. He resumed acting in 2013 and has been involved in numerous theater productions, commercials and films.

While working on the international TV show Spartacus in New Zealand, Joe had some free time. Despite starting his acting career in 1985 while living in Hawaii, he spent nearly a decade working in the corporate world. 

Also, he had a stint working in casinos before retraining as an actor in 2006. During this time, he took up recurring roles on Magnum PI alongside its lead actor, Tom Selleck.

Nia Jax brothers are Patrick Fanene and Benjamin Fanene. Her older brother Patrick is a retired police Corporal. 

According to his LinkedIn page, Patrick is a retired law enforcement officer with over 15 years of experience serving in the City of Carlsbad. 

During his illustrious career, he spent six years as a School Resource Officer at Carlsbad High School, and in 2014, he was elevated to the rank of Corporal. Since May 2020, he has been serving as the IT Manager and Head of Security at Tri-City Christian School.

Patrick obtained his Bachelor of Science in Criminology from California State University, Fresno, in 2002, and later pursued a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University in 2019.

Since Nia's birth, the older kinfolk has always been her guardian and defender, consistently looking out for her well-being. 

On the other hand, her younger brother Benjamin Fanene is a weightlifting coach at Army and Navy Academy since August 2015. 

In December 2019, a commemorative post featuring Nia and her younger brother, who had been separated from her by a mere three years, was disseminated.

Numerous commentators posted their observations on the image, noting that Nia's brother bore a striking resemblance to Roman Reigns.

Nia Jax family includes Dwayne Johnson and Peter Maivia. Nia comes from German and Samoan descent. 

Despite hailing from the prominent Anoa'i family that has been a dominant force in the wrestling world, Jax revealed that some of her relatives didn't support her career in wrestling. 

The family's long-standing association with wrestling includes renowned names such as Yokozuna, Rikishi, Roman Reigns, and The Rock. 

Although Jax's ancestry might have suggested an automatic entry into the WWE, the wrestler chose to carve out her own career path without initially disclosing her family ties. 

In 2018, Jax became notorious for breaking Becky Lynch's nose during a match, but she remains determined to make a name for herself in the wrestling world. 

In an interview, Jax expressed her gratitude for making it to WWE despite being a plus-size woman, adding that she looks up to The Rock for guidance and support as her career progresses.

Jax relationship status is single and has no kids as of now. Nevertheless, she has been linked to Josh Woods and Luke Gallows. 

Nia Jax weight loss of 48 pounds in six months came as a result of an intense workout routine since October 2022. She credited fellow WWE diva Charlotte Flair for helping her to lose weight.

Jax Connection To Roman Reigns

Nia is not related to Roman Reigns. Jax's familial lineage traces back to Peter Maivia's side, whereas Roman Reigns is directly linked to Amituanai Anoa'i. 

Although Amituanai Anoa'i and Peter Maivia were not biologically related, they considered themselves "blood brothers," establishing a familial connection. 

Although Jax and Reigns are unrelated, they share a broader family bond. Besides, Jax is The Rock's second cousin, and her father is Peter Maivia's first cousin. 

In contrast, Afa and Sika, The Wild Samoans, are Amituanai Anoa'i's sons, making Roman Reigns their sibling. Rikishi, The Usos, Umaga, Rosey, and WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna also belong to Amituanai Anoa'i's side of the family.
