Past Winners At New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Christopher Bell clinched a memorable victory last year and joined the illustrious list of past NASCAR winners at New Hampshire Speedway.

Bell's biggest win came after 42 laps he led his last lap in a 301-lapper at the 1.058 mile. He completed his last lap at only 5.767 seconds which gained his triumph over other participants.

The exhilarating race took place for about 3 hrs 14 mins and 45 seconds. Bell drove with an average speed of 98.113 mph, but he beat all the lap leaders and won the race with a margin of five seconds. 

Moreover, lap leaders were M. Truex, J. Logano, H. Burton, C. Briscoe, K. Busch, Elliott, and Bell. Cristopher became the lap leader at the very last moment which helped him bring the trophy home. 

Florida-born stock car racer Aric Almirola was crowned the winner in 2021 after securing an unexpected victory over Christopher Bell. 

Almirola was about the lose the race but he took part in the battle between Keselowski and Blaney which led him to take first place which was quite late at the game. 

There were prospects for Bell to secure his first win at Hampshire track but his late charge derailed his prospects thus Almirola kept his lead and rode into his triumph. 

Most laps were led by Kevin Harvick, who led around 66 laps, Aric Almirola led 25 laps, Brad Keselowski led 53 laps, and Chase Elliott led 53 laps. 

Aric crossed the finish line 0.657 seconds faster than Bell, who was not able to catch him during their last race at the 1.058 miles speedway.

Following an iconic win in 2020, Brad Keselowski also inducted his name in the esteemed list of New Hampshire Motor Speedway past winners.

Brad led the race for 184 laps in the 301 laps in the Speedway. He did not let Denny Hamlin overtake him and won by a margin of 1.647 seconds.

It is Keselowski's 33rd NASCAR Cup Series trophy that also marked his fifth consecutive season participation and has secured three wins in the Hampshire race.

Brad expressed pride in his entire team after the victory. He drove the #2 Western/Star Alliance Parts Ford in the Loudon, New Hampshire event.

Kevin Harvick overtook Kyle Busch and took the lead in seven laps en route to winning the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 title on July 21, 2019.

Harvick and Hamlin were in the final clash but Harvick did not give any edge to his competitor. Kevin crossed the line by .210 seconds ahead of Hamlin. 

It was a significant victory for Harvick as it helped him solidify his position as the top contender for the Cup Series championship in 2019. 

Moreover, the other top 10 contenders of the event were Martin Truex Jr. Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski. 

Harvick has completed over 803 races in the span of 23 years of his career. He plans to compete in multiple NASCAR Speedways before his retirement at the end of 2023 season.

Kyle Busch became the 2017 champion in the New Hampshire Speedway event. He relied on the technical pit strategy to beat other contenders. 

Busch is also a three-time New Hampshire Cup winner. Hamlin who was also Busch's partner (Joe Gibbs Racing) held off Kevin Harvick as both of them were fighting for second place.

Kyle finished with a margin of 4.138 seconds against his teammate Denny Hamlin, who held off Harvick. Kyle was driving the no. 18 Toyota that helped him make prompt pit stops to overcome any flagged issues. 

The top ten drivers according to their placing in the race were Harvick, Kurt Busch, Johnson, Truex Jr., Kenseth, Blaney, Larson, and Bowyer. 

Matt Kenseth started the New Hampshire race as an underdog in 2016. However, he rode to victory triumphing over others in the last minute.

Kenseth is also the champion of the 2015 Hampshire race. He crossed the line 1.982 seconds earlier than fellow runner-up Tony Stewart. 

Moreover, the 38th win in his career was completed like routine work. He did not give any leeway to the followers and led the race at the last minute which helped him capitalize on his advantage. 

In the course of his lengthy racing career, Kenseth has participated in 288 races and has 28 wins, and finished over 200 races in the top ten. 

Joey Logano started the race in the seventh position in 2014. However, Joey was able to complete all 303 laps taking the lead in the last minute.

The crux of the race was the chaos that ensued in the event where six cars were damaged beyond the state of repair which left 16 car drivers into a state of despair.

Logano secured a climatic triumph at the last minute. The fans in the stands were also able to witness Aric Almirola's heroic sixth-place finish after his engine failure disaster at Chicagoland Speedway in 2014. 

That said, the top finishers of the race were Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, Jamie McMurray, Jimmie Johnson, Aric Almirola, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt, and Brian Vickers respectively.

Brian Vickers registered a stunning victory in the Magic Mile in 2013. Vickers triumphed over Kyle Busch by half a second to ensure his first place. 

Despite facing a penalty for driving away with a wrench in the pitstop of one lap, he made a comeback and won against the top NASCAR drivers.

The awe-inspiring victory brought him prize money of $214,075. In his 148 races over the course of 12 years, he has 3 wins and has placed 78 times in the top tens, and secured 12 poles. 

Other finishers that made it to the top ten were Jeff Burton, Brad Keselowski, Aric Almirola, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, and many more. 

Denny Hamlin had a dominating win in the New Hampshire race in 2012. He had a winning margin of 2.675 against runner-up Jimmie Johnson. 

Jeff Gordon was the pole sitter who was stern on placing third in the event. Gordon was followed by top racers like Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski, and Tony Stewart.

Moreover, due to crashes, NASCAR announced debris caution thus in that period Hamlin held a seven-second lead against Johnson thus both were in a state of tug of war, where Hamlin was preventing Gordon's overtaking tactics. 

That said, the results of the nail-biting tournament in ascending order were Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Brad, Tony, and Joey. 

Tony Stewart's triumph in 2011 became his second chase win in the event. He was the second driver with such tactics after Greg Biffle in 2008. 

Stewart capitalized by saving his fuel in the earlier period of competition. He had two laps to go before running out of gas thus after Bowyer ran out of gas, he sped away to capture a lead.

Drivers who placed in the top ten at the event were Tony, Brad, Greg, Jeff, Brian, Matt, David, Carl, Juan, and Regan. The victory of Stewart was surreal to the audience as he made a comeback at the last minute. 

New Hampshire NASCAR schedule 2023 is on July 16, 2023, at 2:30 PM ET. The popular race will take place in Loudon, New Hampshire.
