The Raiders franchise was founded in Oakland, California in 1959 and became the eighth member of the American Football League in 1960 as a replacement for the Minnesota Vikings.

Josh McDaniels joins his second season of the NFL as Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders and his 23rd overall campaign in the National Football League.
Josh was named as Las Vegas Raiders head coach by the Owner of the team Mark Davis on 31 January 2022, following 19 seasons with the New England Patriots including 13 as offensive coordinator.
He also worked as the Denver Broncos' head coach from 2009 to 2010 and the St. Louis Rams’ offensive coordinator in 2011.

In his early days, he began his coaching career as a senior graduate assistant at Michigan State University under Nick Saban in 1999. McDaniels moved to Cleveland after assisting Michigan State and started working as a plastics sales representative.
He was hired as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders on 31 January 2022 and his first win with the Raiders was a 32-23 victory against his former NFL team the Denver Broncos.
Furthermore, he was criticized for his team's inability to hold leads and close out games throughout the 2022 season. He got so much criticism on different social media handles for Radiers' week 10 loss to an Indianapolis Colts team led by debuting head coach Jeff Saturday.
Jeff was hired earlier that week to replace the recently dismissed Frank Reich despite having no past NFL coaching experience heading into the game.

Jon Gruden - 2018
Jon Gruden was a famous football coach in the National Football League from 1990 to 2021, finishing his coaching career as the head coach of the NFL team Las Vegas Raiders.
More than twenty-two years of coaching career his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 191-161-1 and he was a head coach for fifteen seasons, starting first with the Oakland Raiders.
He led the Las Vegas Raiders for four seasons compiling a win/loss record of 38-26-0.

Jack Del Rio - 2015
Jack Del Rio worked as Denver Broncos defensive coordinator for the next three seasons before becoming head coach of the NFL team Raiders in 2015.
Del compiled a win/ loss record of 25-23 with the Raiders before being fired after the 2017 season. Moreover, he spent the next two years working as an NFL analyst for ESPN before joining the Washington Commanders as their defensive coordinator in 2020.
He attended Hayward high school where he was a three-sport athlete for the Farmers. Not only that but he was also selected in the 1981 amateur baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
In his early days, he was elected to attend the University of Southern California where he played both American football and baseball for the Trojans. He will be inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.
Dennis Allen - 2012
Dennis Allen compiled a win/loss record of 8 wins and 28 losses in his coaching career with the Raiders. He began coaching during the 2012 season and last coached during the 2014 NFL campaign.

Hue Jackson - 2011
Hue Jackson held coordinator positions in the National football league with the Washington Redskins in 2003, the Atlanta Falcons in 2007, the Oakland Raiders in 2010, and the Cincinnati Bengals from 2014 to 2015.
Not only that but he also worked as a head coach of the Raiders in 2011 and Cleveland Browns from 2016 to 2018.
Under his supervision as an offensive coordinator in 2010, the Raiders' offense finished fourth in the American Football Conference and 6th in the NFL in scoring.
The Raiders more than doubled their scoring outcome result from past years with 410 points.
After that in the 2010 season, Hue was named Raiders head coach in 2011 replacing Tom Cable. He was fired after serving one season as a head coach by a new Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie.
