Sandy Alcantara from Miami Marlins is married to his wife, Yorleni. Alcántara is a Dominican professional baseball player.
Ever since he was a child, he had an interest in baseball. Born in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, Sandy Alcántara is one of the 11 children born to his parents.
Near his childhood home back in the Dominican Republic was a playing field, and children from around gathered there to play baseball. Since they didn’t have baseball, they would make do with a crate of oranges and other fruits as baseball.
When the fruits would hit the bat, they would splatter all around. However, it was of no concern for the young Sandy as he was more enamored and engulfed by the game's charm.
Alcántara recently said he would love to throw, and most often, he would resist when the other kids in the field would ask to throw. To Alcántara, enjoyment was to throw the ball in an inning. And when others would take him out of the game, he didn’t appreciate it.
Baseball was everything to him since he knew about it, and it was early enough. When Sandy was 11 years of age, his parents sent him to the capital city, Santo Domingo, to live with his sister. His parents thought that he could study at school and make out time for practice living with his sister.
However, Sandy Alcántara left his schooling while he was just in eighth grade so that he could focus more on his baseball and the career he could make out of it moving forward.

Sandy Alcantara is married to his wife, Yorleni Alcantara. Yorleni has been at his side and supporting him at his best and his worst.
When Sandy Alcántara moved to the capital Santo Domingo, he met Yorleni when he was 13 years old. The two have been together ever since and always have been there for each other.
When Sandy moved to the USA as an international free agent signing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Yorleni accompanied him. Yorleni, when asked by the MLB media during her rare stadium visits to watch her husband pitch back in 2018, said she is pleased to see Sandy play baseball and be on the field participating.
Yorleni doesn't speak English, and when talking to her, the media had to translate the questions into Spanish; likewise, her answers were translated into English.
Unlike the regular celebrity WAGS, not much is known about Yorleni as she is not seen publicly often and very rarely, if at all.
Also, Sandy Alcántara has not opened up about his love life in public as much as he wants to keep his private life a secret and separate his personal and professional life.

Sandy Alcántara Shares A Child With His Wife
Although his love life is mostly private, we know he has a child. He shares a son with his wife, Yorleni.
The couple has a son named Yorlin Sadie. Yorlin was born in 2015, making him seven years old now. Looking at his wife’s name, we can see where the inspiration came for their son’s name. It's suggested that their son's name is a combination of both of his parents.
During an interview with the MLB Network, Yorleni suggested that their son Yorlin could follow his father's path and become a professional baseball player in the future.
Sandy Alcántara is determined to make sure that his child's life is far different and much more straightforward and accessible than what he had for himself. Sandy has been working hard to make it happen, and his hard work shows in his games.
Unlike his wife, his son Yorlin is constantly pictured and posted on his Instagram account. Yorlin is usually seen alone or accompanied by his father. From looking at his social media posts and analyzing the rare times they've been caught with each other, we can say that there is an excellent bond between the father and son.
