Teri Moren was born to her parents Barbara Moren and Dick Moren in April 1969. Teri grew up with a sister named Lee Lee in Seymour Indiana.
It is no secret they instilled her with diligient and winning mentality that served as the foundation for her career and accomplishments.
The former college basketball player has been serving as the head coach of Indiana University Hoosiers since the 2014-15 season. She transformed the team from mid-block to a power house in NCAA women's basketball.
Teri was awarded the 2023 Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s Coach of the Year in February 2023 for her unbelievable achievements last season. Moreover, the victory over Boilermakers in February 18 sealed their second Barn Burner Trophy.
Teri is now one of the best coaches in women's college basketball this year alongside South Carolina Dawn Staley.
Teri Moren Spent Childhood in Seymour
Teri Moren family lived in Syemour for a long time before moving to Bloomington. Moren migrated to the city in 2014.
Following her appointment as the head coach of the Hoosiers in August 2014, she packed her bag and relocated to Indiana University in Bloomington.
Moren began her career innocently enough in Seymour High School, where she played basketball as an amateur.
She quickly rose to glory with her offensive style of play, winning Indiana All-Star and the Female Athlete of the Year award in 1987.
Teri attended Purdue University after graduating from Seymour, where she played for the college's basketball team Purdue Boilermakers in NCAA division.
Four season at Purdue, she carved her name to the Purdue’s All-Decade team, along with several other accolades.
Then she commenced her coaching career at Butler Bulldogs as an assistant in 1992. Moren gradually rose through the ranks, becoming a head coach of Indianapolis Greyhounds in 2000.
Despite enjoying a taste of victory throughout her with a stellear career to look back into, Teri has kept her personal life away from media.
Teri Moren has not been married yet as she turned 53 in April 2022. Moreover, she never appeared in public with her partner.
Teri Moren Parents Has Ties With Golf
Teri's parents are Barbara and Dick Moren. They raised her in a loving and nurturing environment in Seymour, Indiana.
Because of their relentless support and encouragement, Teri was able to pursue her passion for athletics and become a successful basketball coach.
Despite not being athletes, Barb was always motivated her to follow a career in sports.
Teri's guardian witnessed her growth as an athlete by attending every game and practice. They knew what areas she excelled in and where she needed improvement, and they were always there to offer guidance and support.
They were both office employees working 10-5 jobs. Hence, they had to make a lot of adjustments to their schedules to attend Teri's games and practices.
Her mom is quite popular in the locality because she worked in a psychiatry lab as an assistant, so she knew everybody.
Barb provided chair-side assistance to the dentist during procedures, prepared and sterilized instruments, and helped with front desk duties.
Meanwhile her dad was once a member of Seymour Elks Club Golf committee.

Teri Moren Grew Up With Two Siblings
Teri grew up with two siblings in her household. She has a brother named Andrew Scott and a sister named Leann Moren.
Although they have taken different paths in life, their connection continues to tie them together, making them inseparable despite the distance that separates them.
Teri wished on Andrew's birthday in April 2019, sharing pictures of him and Lee. Scott is a medical personnel who works as a Director and Medical Alignmnent in multinational biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
Meanwhile, Lee Moren, who had birthday in February 9, is married to Charles Hutchinson. Charles is a professional photographer from Henryville, where he lives with Lee.
Besides, Teri endearingly calls her Lee Lee, demonstrating the close and loving relationship between the two.
Andrew and Lee both were among the audience as Teri led the Indiana Hoosiers to their consecutive Big 10 women's basketball championship in February 2023. They strike a pose with her and the coveted trophy.
