"It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings." - Meister Eckhart.

Yes, the time has come for golf fanatics to start cheering for their favorite players on The Northern Trust 2022. The tournament was formerly popular as The Barclays, one of the famous PGA Tour, with the top 125 players each regular season entering the field.

Many golf champions have made it to the top of the tournament, and this moment is no different than the past events where the players have come back to keep their eye on the prize fund. Notwithstanding, the golf fans could expect a bit of change this season with the new title sponsor FedEx and the event getting named the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Dating back to 2018, The Northern Trust made quite the news creating a fuss in public after the announcement of rotating the tournament between the Boston areas and NY/NJ in 2019/20, only to return to TPC Boston and New England in 2020. Over the years, the followers have been listening to new surprising updates of the championship, wondering about its whereabouts every now and then.

Well, one thing we can expect and be ready for the championship is its new schedule and upcoming events. Whether FedEx or not, it has been running for decades, and within those times, the event has made unforgettable memories for everyone. The first playoff event of the FedEx Cup was in the 2021/22 PGA Tour schedule; meanwhile, the Northern Trust 2022 is starting on 10 August.

What's more, the FedEx St. Jude is happening in an abandoned place by the Northern Trust. Well, undoubtedly, the excitement for the championship has risen with the arrangements. Everyone has eagerly awaited this event, from the player aiming for the win to the fans rooting for their favorites.

Where Is The Northern Trust 2022 Played?

The Northern Trust 2022 season is happening in Memphis, Tennessee, at TPC Southwind with the new title sponsor FedEx. It seems like August will be full of hope and anticipation for the golf fans while the champions swing their clubs.

The FedExCup Playoff event The Northern Trust has a 36-hole cut, with its continuous changes in the business model. For The Northern Trust 2022, hole #1 is PAR 4,414 yards, as given on pgatour.com "The opening hole plays dogleg left uphill to a green with the course's landmark silo in the background."

Following it, hole #2 is of PAR 4,387 yards as "the hole plays dogleg right with an approach shot to a difficult green with bunkers in front and back" after a tight tee shot. Hole #3 is on PAR 5,570 yards with "the first par 5 hole plays downhill with a lake along with the right side of the fairway and green."

Following holes #1, #2, and #3, hole #4 of PAR 3,194 yards with a good score. Also, the green is surrounded by bunkers, with a pond on the left. As for hole #5 with PAR 4,475 yards, a long, winding dogleg is on the right side by FedEx Corp's headquarters, and for hole #6, PAR 4,437 yards, there is an uphill approach shot on a dogleg left to an undulating green protected by hunkers on the right and left.

Jumping to hole #7 PAR 4,481 yards, there is a straight-away with a tight fairway with bunkers on the left to protect and a sight of a large tree catching the errant draws. Further, PAR 3,173 yards hole with a large run-off collection area surrounded by bunkers. The most challenging hole on golf course #9 PAR, 4,452 yards, has a long dogleg on the right, and the second shot the slightly downhill with a lake view in front of the green. The player can nail this with a good approaching position and a length. One can crack it past the large tree with an open shot on the right of the fairway.

As the player moves forwards to the field, the game keeps on getting more complex, and the same goes for hole #10 PAR, 4,457 yards with a creek cutting the fairway in half. Hole #11 is at TPC Sawgrass's famous 17th island green (a smaller version), having a signature hole with a small pot bunker guarding the front edge.

Then finally comes to hole #12 PAR, 4,384 yards having a tee to green on the right side and a dogleg with a running lake. Likewise, hole #13 PAR 4,466 yards with a well-guarded green and the widest fairway on the golf course. A signature of PAR 3 hole #14 of 3,181 yards has "an elevated tee with a full carry over water to a severely undulating green." Also known as one of the extreme complex holes for players.

Most of the champs might be familiar with hole #15 PAR 4,382 yards with a "tight tee shot guarded by trees." Moving on to hole #16 PAR 5,538 yards, a must-watch uphill "tee shot with a slight dogleg left." The golfer who has made it this far has a better chance of hitting the green in two if they watch- out for the enormous complex bunker surrounding the sides and front of the extended steep area.

PAR 4,489 yards of hole #17 is well-recognizable for being long and straight-away with a 150 yards creek and a large green surrounded by bunkers on the right and left. At long last, there is hole #18 PAR 4,447 yards, a closing hole with water along the left side, and the possibility of having more fireworks on the battle down.
