ESPN on ABC announcers are led by Joe Buck as the lead voice for the coverage of the NFL games. He is joined by long-time broadcasting partner Troy Aikman.
Formerly known as ABC Sports, ABC merged with ESPN in 2006, and since then it has been branded as ESPN on NBC for all its televised programming of sports events.
They have broadcasting with most major sports that are broadcasted live on television such as the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and more. They also cover college football games and college basketball games among others.
Since the two have merged, ABC also uses the announcing teams of ESPN. The announcing team especially after signing Buck and Aikman currently has one of the best lineups of broadcasters.
The announcing and broadcasting team has always made a difference for the viewers and provided them with the best experiences.
MNF Announcers On ESPN
Monday Night Football announcers on ESPN are:
- Joe Buck (Play-by-play Announcer)
- Troy Aikman (Color Commentator)
- John Parry (Rukes Analyst)
- Chris Fowler (Play-by-play Announcer)
- Louis Riddick (Color Commentator)

The MNF branding aired on ESPN has two sets of announcing teams with the first team led by Joe Buck and Chris Fowler leading the second.
The announcer's teams are also joined by sideline reporters Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge. They are part of the first and second teams respectively.
Joe Buck
One of the most renowned names in sports broadcasting is Joe Buck. The lead play-by-play voice for MNF on ESPN joined the team in March 2022 in a multi-year deal.
Buck had been part of Fox's announcer's team from 1994-2021. He called for both the NFL and MLB games throughout his career at Fox.
Although he is known for serving as the lead voice in NFL and MLB games, he made his ESPN debut in May 2022 during the 2022 PGA Championship. He was a host for the alternate broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
Troy Aikman
The former Cowboys quarterback and three-time Super Bowl champion will return for the second season of Monday Night Football on ESPN. Aikman will once again team up with Buck for the network's lead announcing team.
The duo have been calling games together for over a decade as they were partners for Fox's coverage of the NFL as well. He too joined ESPN on the very same day as Buck.
The duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be setting another milestone in 2023 as they become the longest-paired broadcast team in NFL history. This will be their 22nd season.
John Parry
John Parry is a former NFL official from 2000 to 2018 including officiating two Super Bowls in his career. A former referee is the best choice to serve as the rules analyst for the coverage of the 2023 NFL games on the network.
Parry is more than qualified to take on the responsibility as he has more than a decade of experience as a referee having been promoted to the position in 2007.
Chris Fowler
The second and new team of announcers for MNF will be led by none other than experienced play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler.
Fowler has been a sports broadcaster since 1982 and joined ESPN in 1986. He was previously associated with KCNC-TV which was affiliated with NBC.
His team will be calling three MNF games in 2023 which are Week 2, 3, and 14. The team will also cover the Week 4 game of the Falcons facing the Jaguars on ESPN+ which is to be held in London.
Fowler is not limited to calling football games but has called games of tennis and soccer as well in the past. He was also the lead voice for Saturday Night Football on ABC.
Louis Riddick
Riddick will be joining Fowler as a color commentator/analyst. He is a former football player who played as a safety for eight seasons in the NFL representing six teams.
Although he did not have such an amazing career as a player, he did gain a lot of experience during his time. This will be key for analyzing and breaking down games as an analyst.
He first became an analyst for MNF in 2020 and joined ESPN as an NFL Front Office Insider in 2013.
Dan Orlovsky
Another former quarterback will be part of the MNF's announcing team in 2023 as an analyst. Dan Orlovsky retired from the NFL in 2017 and joined ESPN in 2018 having previously served as an analyst for the NFL Network.
