Angel Reese has two siblings, a brother named Julian and a half brother named Mikael Hopkins.
Growing up, she honed his skills through play with Julian, while Mikael is her stepbrother born from his father's other liaison.
She gets along with Julian and is the one who introduced him to Maryland Terrapins. If anybody finds Angel's towering height of 6 feet, 3 inches, impressive, they would be in utter disbelief to learn that her brother Julian reaches a startling 6-foot, 9 inches tall.
At St. Frances Academy, they laid the groundwork for their future success on the basketball court, where they both attended and cultivated their skills.
Julian joined the Tarrapins in 2021 after playing for the academy for four years. He played in 32 games during the 2021–22 season, averaging 4.4 REBs and 5.7 points per game.
Moreover, Julian had a strong start to the 2022–23 season, averaging 7.2 REB and 11.2 points in less games than the previous year.
On the other hand, Angel's half-brother Hopkins is also a professional basketball star who played in the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) in Italy. Mikael played high school basketball for DeMatha Catholic before joining Georgetown Hoyas in 2011.
Hopkins completed his four years at the university, and after a joyous and successful career, he was selected by the NBA in the 2015 draft. Sadly, he was passed over for the final selection and was not taken in the draft.
Then he ventured into various leagues across various countries, playing for the teams like Istanbul DSI in Turkey, Balkan Botevgrad in Bulgaria, and Reggio Emilia in Italy.
