Frank Reich

Frank Reich was appointed as head coach of the Carolina Panthers on 26 January 2023, replacing Matt Rhule. He previously held the helm as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2018-2022 and is a former player himself who played in the NFL from 1985-1998.

He was a quarterback when he was a player and is regarded as the greatest backup quarterback for his heroics in the 1992-93 NFL playoffs. Since his retirement after the 1998 season, he has been part of a number of franchises' coaching rosters.

He won his first Super Bowl championship in the 2006-2007 season while he was interning with the Colts and won his second in the 2017-2018 season as an offensive coordinator with the Eagles.

Matt Rhule

Rhule is a former collegiate football linebacker at Penn State and right after he graduated in 1997, he started his coaching career. He started as a linebacker coach in 1998 at Albright College. Since then, he has been part of several college football teams.

He was hired by the Panthers in 2020 after he signed a seven-year contract that would pay him $62 million replacing Ron Rivera. He was the fifth coach in the Panther's short history.

Matt Rhule who was the Carolina Panthers head coach fired in his third season as he started the season with just 1 win in 5 games. His overall record was 11-27.

Ron Rivera

Ron Rivera is the longest-serving head coach of the Carolina Panthers. He was the head coach for nine years having joined in 2011, replacing another coach who served for nine years, John Fox. Rivera was the fourth head coach for the Panthers.

This was Rivera's first job as head coach and was previously employed by other NFL franchises as a coordinator or a linebackers coach. He is a Super Bowl champion as a player having won it in the 1985-1986 season.

He had a coaching record of 76-63-1 while he was with the Panthers and is currently employed as the head coach of the Washington Commanders since 2020.

John Fox

When Fox was hired in 2022, it was his first time as a head coach for a franchise. He had gained a lot of experience since he started his coaching career in 1979 as the defensive backs coach. He had been part of quite a number of teams before becoming a head coach.

In his second season, the Panthers reached the Super Bowl in 2003 but lost to the New England Patriots. He also lost the NFC Championship Game in 2005. He later went on to coach the Denver Broncos (2011-2014) and the Chicago Bears (2015-2017).

George Seifert

Seifert was an experienced coach when he joined the Panthers in 1999 as he had already been a head coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 1989-1996. He was a Super Bowl-winning coach with the 49ers in 1989 and 1994.

In his three seasons with the Panthers, he had a 16-32 record with a disastrous 1-15 record in 2001. The best finish to the season was in 1999 when they finished 2nd in NFC West. He and Matt Rhule created an unwanted record of being the only two coaches to never have a winning season and never guided the Panthers to the playoffs.

Dom Capers

Dom Capers was the first head coach of the Carolina Panthers for their inaugural season in 1995. Prior to joining the Panthers, he had been a defensive backs coach for several teams since 1975.

He had been named the AP NFL Coach of the Year in 1996 and was a Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 season as an assistant coach.

Thomas Brown is a former player who has been the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator since he was hired by the franchise on 17 February 2023.

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Brown in the sixth round as an overall pick #172 in 2008 and could not play during his rookie season due to injury. He was waived by the franchise and signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2009. He was released in June 2010 and ventured into coaching.

He has had quite an experience as a coach before joining the Panthers' coaching unit earlier this year. He started with his first assignment as a strength and conditioning coach for Georgia Bulldogs football in 2011.

Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator in the 2023 season is Ejiro Evero. He was hired on 5 February 2023 under the new head coach.

Evero was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Oakland Raiders in 2004 and was only limited to as an offseason and/or practice squad member. He did not play a game in the NFL and straight away went into coaching.

His first experience as a coach came at UC Davis as an assistant coach in 2005-2006. He also played collegiate football as a safety for the same college team. He was part of the coaching unit of the Buccaneers as a defensive quality control coach from 2007-2009.

Super Bowl champion in the 2005 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Duce Staley is the Assistant head coach and the running backs coach for the Panthers starting from the 2023 season.

He held the same positions with the Detroit Lions prior to joining the Panthers and also won the Super Bowl in the 2017 season with the Eagles alongside Reich.

Carolina Panthers QB coach is Josh McCown from the 2023 season. He is a former quarterback who played in the NFL from 2002-2020.

Two-time Super Bowl winner Jim Caldwell is assigned to the Senior Assistant position starting this season. The Panthers have made quite a lot of changes to the coaching unit. Dom Capers reunites with the Panthers as the defensive assistant after parting ways with the Broncos.
