In addition to his work on CBS Sports Network, McCarthy also works for the football team at Rutgers University. During the 1996 NCAA tournament, he provided the play-by-play commentary for the Tigers' shocking 43-41 victory over UCLA, the defending NCAA champion.
Jason Knapp works as an anchorman, sideline reporter, and host for the network's coverage of high school and collegiate basketball and football games. He graduated from Syracuse University on broadcast journalism.
Furthermore, Knapp also provides commentary for NBA D-League games. He was even chosen by the network to serve as a curling announcer during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Former National Football League linebacker Brian Jones joined College Football Today, the SEC's pre-game show in March 2013 as an analyst.
After completing his graduation, Jones worked in sports television as a sideline audio tech and later as a sportscaster for the University of Texas football games.
NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp and Brian Jones were named as the hosts of the monthly podcast "BetUS Unfiltered" by the online sportsbook BetUS in October 2020.
Jones also did podcast interviews with stars like Derrick Johnson, Adam Schefter, Ray Lewis, Kevin Carter, Rick Neuheisel, and Jen Welter.
Likewise, former football player and coach Houston Nutt also works as a studio analyst. He has served as a head coach for the University of Arkansas, Boise State University, Murray State University, and the University of Mississippi.
Gene Steratore joined CBS Sports in June 2018 as the rule analyst including college basketball, the National Football League, and SEC on CBS.
Steratore has a similar role for the network's college football coverage in addition to offering insight for NFL officials. Apart from his playing career, he also worked as a Division I men's basketball referee for NCAA from 1997 to 2018.
