Garnet Hathaway wife Lindsay Hathaway is a lacrosse coach from Arlington. Lindsay raises funds for Hath Heroes program under MSE Foundation.

The NHL right wing is mainly known for philanthropic work with Washington Capitals. He also played a big role during the qualification for the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs.

However, he has been traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Craig Smith as of February 23, 2023.

Garnet debuted on the NHL rink on February 29, 2016, with Calgary Flames while he played in the American Hockey League (AHL). Meanwhile, his humanitarian spirit continues to thrive with the Bruins.

Garnet Hathaway Had A Wedding In 2020

Garnet Hathaway married his wife Lindsay on July 4, 2020. He announced his wedding during the Between Two Blue Lines podcast.

He and his former Capital teammate, Nic Dowd, host the podcast where they mainly talk about their lives outside the NHL rink.

The NHL player mentioned that his wedding ceremony was small and private. He further added that the day became great despite the limitations of celebrations.

Garnet and Lindsay had dated for a few years and got engaged sometime before the tying the knot on the 4th of July amid the global pandemic.

While the right-wings shares his home life through his podcast, Mrs. Hathaway remains away from the spotlight. She is unavailable on social media platforms but has been a partner in her hubby's social works.

The Hathaway couple launched Hath’s Heroes in 2019 where they raise funds for the first responders every month. They have partnered with Mindful Junkie, a non-profit organization to provide mindfulness training to D.C. area first responders to cope with the job trauma.

Likewise, they had taken the help of Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation for their successful January 2021 fundraiser.

NHL confirms that Hath's Heroes distributed more than 940 holiday meals to firehouses around Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, and Prince George's County, during the 2020 Thanksgiving. Hence, Garnet and Lindsay's partnership goes beyond their love life.

Garnet Hathaway Welcomed A Son In May 2021

Garnet Hathaway has two children, a son and a daughter named Ella Hathaway. Their son was born in May 2021, making him a toddler.

Likewise, younger sister Ella joined the clan on November 20, 2022. She was born at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and her dad had taken to his Twitter to thank them for their services publically.

Ella was born healthy and left no complications during childbirth. She and her mom both recovered fast after returning to their home.

Garnet Hathaway Grew Up In Naples

Garnet Hathaway was born to parents John and Suellen Hathaway on November 23, 1991, in Naples, Florida. His father is the CEO and President of Shucks Maine Lobster.

Shucks Maine is a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified lobster company that supplies raw lobster meat to local and international companies. Hathaway senior is the current president of the Fund for the Advancement of Sustainable Maine Lobster, a client group of the MSC.

He has won two Seafood Prix d’Elite Awards at the Brussels Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global for the best new seafood product, making him a star businessman in the field. 

Meanwhile, his work experience in the business world goes back to when he traveled around the world and founded many companies. He was a real estate developer in Huntsville, Alabama, and ran a real estate development firm.

The NHL player traveled the world with his parents and siblings while he shared a familial bond with his former Capitals teammate, Nic. They welcomed fatherhood in a two-year difference where Nic helps Garnet to become a better parent.
