Jason Robertson has Filipino background since his maternal household stemmed from the Philippines. His mother, Mercedes was three when they migrated to the US.
Because of the civil war going on in the 70s, Jason's grandpa felt extreme concern regarding their safety within the country. Hence he fled to America with his brood and settled in Los Angels.
Jason's maternal grandfather had to switch his profession from being an attorney in the Philippines to a taxi driver in LA.
