Jalen Carter was born to dad Jermaine Carter and mom Toni Brown on April 4, 2001. Jermaine is originally from Starke Florida.
Upon graduating from high school at Apopka High in Orange County, Carter attended the University of Georgia, where he plays for the college football team Georgia Bulldogs.
Not to confuse with another football player Jalen Carter who plays for Millersville University, the Florida native Carter won the 2022 Unanimous All-American honor.
The towering 6-foot-3 defensive tackle, currently in his junior year, was pivotal in leading UGA to back-to-back CFP national championship victories in 2021 and 2022.

He played AAU basketball while attending junior high under the tutelage of coaches Jeff Rolson and Jason Williams.
Carter played as a defensive tackle, tight end, and punter, leading his team to a 12-1 record, a No. 5 state ranking, and an appearance in the FHSAA Class 8A Championship Game in his senior year.
Moreover, he was a highly-ranked prospect, with a five-star rating from 247Sports. Jalen's impressive stats in AAU tournaments included 64 total tackles, 12 sacks, and several accolades, such as being selected to participate in the 2020 Under Armour All-America Game.
Besides, Carter has been compared to the 2013 NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp, a former Apopka product and Pro Football Hall of Famer. Interestingly, Jalen played against Georgia linebacker Rian Davis, also from Apopka.
