Julius Randle was born to parents Carolyn Kyles and Matthew Randle on 29 November 1994. Carolyn is a single mom who raised him in Dallas Texas.
Randle's father was not around to look after him while he was growing up, so he was raised by his mother alone. He learned the hard way and acquired an athlete's mindset from Carolyn, a former collegiate basketball player.

Before entering the 2014 NBA draft, Randle played collegiate basketball for one year at the University of Kentucky, where he was a student. He has also played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Dallas Mavericks.
Julius scored 7th career 40-point game after he made 42 points against Detroit Pistons on Sunday, January 15. The game ended 117-104 in Knicks' favor, and Randle ended up making New York Knicks history as the first player to make a 40-point/15-rebound game since 1996, SI reported.

"Hi, Julius! Surprise," Carolyn said while Randle busted out into a massive smile. "I just wanted to say that I love you so much, and I'm so proud of the son and the teammate that you are."
The Knicks' power forward had a delightful surprise as Carolyn congratulated him on his selection and told him how proud she was of him as he watched her with eyes full of tears.

But she always stood up for him when he needed it. Julius barely started walking when Kyles bought him his first basketball. Julius had late puberty, so he was not big in size in his teens. He often gets mad at his older sister Nastassia Caldwell Randle and mom Carolyn for being taller than him.
