Superstar Mode has made its return to Madden 24 which is the story mode in the game. It has replaced the Face of the Franchise Mode.

Among the many new features in the game, Superstar Mode is one of them. It is similar to the Franchise Mode but will be controlling a player en route to stardom. The mode is further divided into Superstar: The League (offline) and Superstar: Showdown (online). It is only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Among the other features, Madden 24 relocation teams can now be relocated to 19 different cities. London, Oakland, and Austin are some of the available cities.

The developers have introduced the changes as Madden 23 lacked a lot of innovations and was almost like a copy of the previous edition. These enhancements were needed to make the game successful and to continue its legacy.

Madden 24 Online Franchise Mode

Players have the option to play the offline or the online Franchise Mode at any time

Madden 24 Online Franchise Mode will be more realistic than the offline mode. It will have live NFL rosters, stats, and ratings and can be played among friends.

Players will be able to choose whether to play the offline mode or the online mode. The online mode can be played solo, with friends, or with other franchise mode players. The offline mode is played in the solo mode only.

You will be able to play this mode as an owner of a franchise, the head coach, or simply as a player. The player can be an active one or you can create your own and embark on your journey.

Franchise Mode has always been the best part of any game as the player has full control over the proceedings of the games and career. It is similar to FIFA's Career Mode, where you are in charge of the team and its decisions.

Online Franchise With Friends

Similar to how you can play online with your friends in games like Call of Duty: Warzone, you can also play the Franchise Mode with your friends and make the game more interesting and realistic.

This feature was available in Madden 23 as well and yet many users are not sure how to create and invite their peers into joining the league and having a good time.

Let us take a look at the steps as to how you can start an online Franchise Mode with your friends and how they can be invited to join the league you have created in Madden 24.

Step 1: Select the Franchise Mode option from the main menu.

Step 2: Select Create a new League and click on "Use Active Roster".

Step 3: Select your favorite team that you want to play the mode with.

Step 4: Go to League Settings once you choose your team and under "More Options", click on League Settings. You can choose whether you want your league to be public (anyone can join) or private (only invites or requires a password).

Step 5: Create a league name and choose a league password. If you are playing with friends and will be sending out invites, the password won't be necessary.

Step 6: Head back to the "More Options" section and choose your "Starting Point". You can choose the starting point from Preseason, Regular Season, or Fantasy Draft.

Step 7: Click on "Start Playing" at the top and head to the "Options" tab and click on "Members". Pick any team you want for your friends and once they join your invites, they will be able to pick their own team so this step is just a formality.

Step 8: Once you pick a team, the "Invite User" option is to be selected and you can search for your friend through their Gamertag or in your Friends List. Select the people you want to invite and choose the "Send League Invite" option.

Your friends will be able to join the league via the invite without any problems or confusion. The same process is to be repeated to invite other people to the league.

Madden 24 New Franchise Features

The Training Camp has to be the best new feature in Madden 24 among the other new additions
Source : twitter

New features in Madden 24 have quite a number of new additions to the Franchise Mode. The new features are:

  • Weekly Strategies
  • Training Camp
  • Salary Cap Management
  • Trade System
  • Draft Class
  • Draft Generators

Weekly Strategies

The weekly training sessions have been added to the Franchise Mode allowing players to choose their own game plans each week. They can choose their own offensive and defensive plans in addition to the "focus players" option.

The mini-game feature will have the same purpose as the Training Camp and each focus player in the weekly strategies will be able to play one game each.

Training Camp

The training camp returns to Madden 24 and players will now be able to better their roster before the start of the season through the camp. It will feature mini-games that when played will enhance your team roster.

Here is a list of the several mini-games that are available in training camp:

  • Target Passing for Quarterbacks
  • Pass Skeleton (Outmanned) for Quarterbacks
  • WR Battle for Wide Receivers (WR) and Tight Ends (TE)
  • WR Battle (Red Zone Attack) for WR and TE
  • Rushing Attack for Halfbacks and Fullbacks
  • Chase and Tackle for Linebackers
  • Trench Battle (The Long Hall for Defensive Line and Linebackers
  • DB Battle and Red Zone Battle for Defensive Backs
  • Field Goal Accuracy for Kickers
  • Coffin Corner for Punters

Salary Cap Management

Without a salary cap, the game would not have been realistic and Madden 24 has two new features added to the salary cap management. The two new features are the 5th Year option and Contract Restructuring.

5th Year Option

This option will allow the teams to choose whether they want to extend the rookie's contract by adding an extra year with this option. This option though can only be exercised once the player completes three full seasons.

Contract Restructuring

This feature will give you the freedom to reduce the player's current salary and use it as a bonus for the remainder of the years of their contract. This will result in the team remaining under the salary cap and at the same time, the player will also be paid their full salary.

Trade System

Madden 24 developers have added quite a bit of change to the Trade System this time out. They have added trade and draft slots in this edition as well.

  • Trade slots are now six and previously had three
  • During a trade, six draft picks can be included by the players
  • While trading players for draft picks, users will now be able to do it from the current year, next year, two years from now, and vice versa.

Draft Class

The configuration of the Draft Classes can be changed in the League Menu and players will be able to set them to be Very Weak, Weak, Normal, Strong, and Very Strong.

These customizations will be key to the quality of the prospects and their levels in the next Draft Classes. The stronger the configuration, the higher number of top prospects, and also increases the chance of seeing a generational class by ten times than the Normal or lower configurations.

Draft Generators

There will be 20 more Draft Generators in Madden 24 than in Madden 23. To enhance the user's experience and to keep the Franchise Mode interesting, the game will have a total of 50 Draft Generators.

This addition will result in:

  • Better statistics for the new prospects
  • Join the 99Club
  • The isolated positions in Madden 23 such as Tight End, Fullback, and other positions will be filled out in this edition

Best Teams to Rebuild Madden 24

A player can choose any team they want to rebuild with or pick a strong team who are already title contenders

Madden 24 teams to rebuild in Franchise Mode are Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and Atlanta Falcons.

Picking your favorite team and embarking on your personal journey in search of greatness is the ultimate goal of the Franchise Mode. You as a player can pick any team you want to based on your personal preferences.

Here are the Top 5 teams that you could pick in Madden 24 to rebuild:

Los Angeles Rams73 OVR

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 81 OVR

The Buccaneers are a balanced team but in need of a good leader to reach new heights
Source : twitter

Since legendary quarterback Tom Brady retired, the Buccaneers are in search of someone of Brady's caliber who would make the franchise a strong contender for the Super Bowl.

You will have Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask at your disposal as the QBs or you could venture into trading them for someone else. It is all under your control.

Chicago Bears - 76 OVR

The Bears just managed to win 3 games in the 2022-203 season and finished last in the Division as well as in their conference. The newly drafted talents in 2023 could be their only hope.

As a player, the Bears would be a great choice as they need a lot of work, and would be interesting to take them back to the top.

Green Bay Packers - 79 OVR

Similar to the Buccaneers losing Brady, the Packers are without Aaron Rodgers. Jordan Love is set to fill in his shoes and has a strong offensive line to play with.

The team has a number of runners in all positions and since you are controlling the team, deciding whether Love starts or will remain as a backup is up to you.

Los Angeles Rams - 73 OVR

Matthew Strafford will be accompanied by Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp who are among the best players but the Rams overall are not up to the mark. They lack expertise in many positions and will be a great franchise to rebuild.

Atlanta Falcons - 81 OVR

The franchise is loaded with young talents that will be perfect for the Falcons' rebuild. Bijan Robinson, A. J. Terrell, and Drake London are a few talents that will be responsible for the success of the team. As compared to the Rams, the Falcons will be much easier to rebuild.
