Nikola Jovic and Nikola Jokic are not related to each other. All similarities between the two are just fate.
Jovic is a professional basketball player from Serbia. He is one of the best players in both the ABA League and the Serbian National basketball team right now. He is currently averaging 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 28 minutes.
The 18 years old plays for the Mega Mozzart of ABA. He has won numerous awards such as two times Junior ABA league Champion, 2021 Junior ABA league MVP and two times Junior ABA League Ideal Starting Five.
But, the Serbian player is in talks to be selected by Denver Nuggets in the upcoming NBA draft. This means Jovic might get to meet someone with a similar story as him - Nuggets centre Nikola Jokic.

Nikola Jovic is not related to Nikola Jokic.
There is a lot of confusion surrounding the connection between Jovic and Jokic. Many fans assume that the two might be brothers - if not related- due to their similar names and surname. Additionally, both Jovic and Jokic have Serbian roots.
The alikeness doesn't end here. Both athletes are professional basketball players. And, both stand 6 feet and 11 inches tall in height. Furthermore, Jokic also played for Mozzart during his early career.

However, all of the similarities are just a series of mere coincidences. There is actually no blood relation between Jovic and Jokic. Likewise, they are also different in terms of gameplay. While Jovic plays as a forward and shooting guard, Jokic is positioned as a centre.
Nevertheless, the compatibility between the two is quite noticeable to both. In an interview, Jovic quoted, "It’s kind of funny to me the people always talking about our names". He further added, "I haven’t met him; I’ve always wanted to."
