The final six players were announced by the U.S. captain Zach Johnson for the 2023 Ryder Cup. The announcement was made on August 29, 2023, exactly a month before the start of the tournament.

Brooks Koepka will be featuring in his fourth Ryder Cup having already been part of the team in 2016, 2018, and 2021. This will be his fourth consecutive appearance in 2023 and has a 6-5-1 record in the tournament.

Spieth will make his fifth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance in 2023 and has a h8-7-3 record in the tournament. His five top 5 finishes in the season have been very helpful for him. Morikawa will make his second appearance this year having made his first in 2021. 

The winner of the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play win in March, Sam Burns will make his first appearance in the Ryder Cup this year. Rickie Fowler will be making his 5th appearance and is the most experienced in the team alongside Speith.

Justin Thomas has not had the best season this year but is a big-game player who has the experience. It will be his third Ryder Cup in a row and has a 6-2-1 record.

Marco Simone Golf and Country Club is the Ryder Cup 2023 venue. The golf course is located in Guidonia, Rome, Italy. It was built in 1989.

The golf course was designed by architects Jim Fazio and David Mezzacane. The name of the golf was inspired by the castle of Marco Simone. The course also goes by the name Gol Marco Simone and is owned by Laura Biagiotti and Giannu Cigna.

The bidding process for this year's Ryder Cup only had four bids and Rome was announced as the host ahead of Germany, Spain, and Austria.

Ryder Cup location history in the past was Wisconsin in 2021, France in 2018, Minnesota in 2016, Scotland in 2014, Illinois in 2012, and Wales in 2010.

The 2023 Ryder Cup golf course has previously hosted the Italian Open golf championships in 1994 and 2021. The course for the tournament is a par-72 course and is 6,3,43 m (6,937 yards) in length. It also has a slope rating of 140 for the championship course.
