Shannon Sharpe Has 2 Daughters In The Family Kaley and Kayla Sharpe

Shannon Sharpe is a proud dad to Kayla, Kaley and Kiari Sharpe. Both Kayla and Kaley are 30 years of age while Kiari Sharpe is his only son.

Each of his offspring is from a different relationship. In 2013, Shannon celebrated Kayla's 21st birthday and expressed his pride in her growth.

Kiari pursued biology and business management studies at Georgia Southern, while Kayla studied pre-law at the same institution. 

Meanwhile, Kaley attended Florida State intending to become a medical examiner.

Although the children live with their respective mothers in Georgia and Florida, Shannon frequently visits them.

Sharpe has also shared a nostalgic picture of himself and his progeny, which depicts two distinct snapshots taken in 1995 and 1997. 

On 16 Oct. 2020, Sharpe commemorated the birth anniversary of his eldest offspring, Kayla, who also goes by the moniker Shannon Sharpe Jr. 

The former Denver Broncos star expressed his fondness for Kayla by penning an endearing caption that conveyed his admiration for the remarkable woman she has grown into.

Kayla is currently employed as an HR Business Partner at Phoebe Putney Health System. She has previously served as an HR Generalist II at Silverton Mortgage. 

As mentioned on her LinkedIn page, Kayla fervently advocates for the people who make up an organization. In her capacity as a human resource professional, she is well aware of the essential role she plays in the success of any business.

With more than seven years of experience in HR, Kayla has honed her skills in improving the employee experience and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Since 2022, she has served as an HR Business Partner for a top-tier medical institution catering to the South West Georgia community.

Throughout her career, Kayla has amassed a wealth of practical HR experience. This includes several years as an HR Generalist in the higher education industry and a productive tenure in the financial sector.

Additionally, she worked at Emory University for four years, serving as their human resource generalist and HR operation support specialist.

Shannon Sharpe was previously engaged to fitness trainer Katy Kellner in 2016. However, their relationship was short-lived as they parted ways.

Looking at Sharpe's Facebook portraits, there is an image of himself with Katy and their pets posted in 2013 with the caption family.

Kellner later tied the knot with her current husband, Jr. Castillo on July 11, 2021. Nevertheless, Sharpe continues to follow Kellner on Twitter.

Shannon has been in several relationships to date. He attended the graduation ceremony of his son Kairi alongside his former wife in 2014.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer divulged in a conversation with Skip Bayless about an incident in which he assisted in finalizing a divorce. 

He revealed his intense desire for the woman led him to pay for the divorce, and he even confronted her and her husband, questioning their argument over a small sum of money.

Shannon parents are Pete Sharpe and Mary Alice Dixon. Shannon was raised by his maternal grandparents when he was three months old. 

In the countryside outside of Glennville, Georgia, Shannon's grandmother Mary Porter was raising her nine children in a small home when she received a call for help from her daughter in Chicago. 

Despite the limited space and funds, Mary had a generous heart and a strong work ethic, so she traveled to Chicago to bring three of her grandchildren: Libby, Sterling and 3-month-old Shannon. 

Per The Denver Post, she brought them back to her home, where they shared quarters in a tin-roof house with Mary's large family. 

Sterling and his grandfather, Barney, shared a bed, while Shannon slept with his grandmother, Mary, due to the cramped living space.

This sleeping setup continued until Barney passed away from a heart attack in 1977 when Shannon was just 9 years old.

Years later, Shannon said farewell to his beloved granny who passed away one month before he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 

Mary worked tirelessly to support her descendants, even while employed at a nursing home in Glennville. She passed away at 89, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, sacrifice, and love for her family.

Shannon Sharpe siblings are Sterling Sharpe and Sherra Libby Sharpe. His brother Sterling played in NFL for the Packers from 1988 to 1994.

As the youngest of three siblings, Shannon has always regarded his elder brother as an inspiration and a role model. Moreover, he emulated his brother's footsteps and took up football himself.

Sterling is a former professional footballer who served as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). 

Hailing from Glennville, Georgia, Sharpe played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks and carved out a career in the NFL from 1988 to 1994 until a neck injury forced his early retirement.

During his career, he was selected five times to the Pro Bowl and was recognized as an All-Pro. His accolades include leading the league in receiving thrice before calling it a day.

Sharpe is held in high esteem, having had his number retired by his university and inducted into the South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. As of now, he serves as a studio analyst for the NFL Network.
