The 3M Open which takes place at the TPC Twin Cities Golf Club is a tournament that falls under the PGA Tour. The Open made its debut in 2019 after it replaced the 3M Championship.

The tournament is played in the month of July which falls toward the end of the PGA Tour regular season and is an important tournament for all golf players who want to qualify for the playoffs.

The result of the 3M Open will most likely decide the players who have qualified for the playoffs. The playoff starts on August 13 with the Wyndham Championship the only event between the two.

3M Open past results have proved that the tournament is competitive as no player has won it in a row. Even the runners-up have been different each time.

The field looks to be competitive and balanced even though several big names will not be participating in the tournament. The prize money has increased in comparison to last time and all 156 players will be competing for the $7.8 million purse.
