Inside Udonis Haslem Wife Faith Rein and Married Life

Haslem first met with Faith Rein at the University of Florida in 1999. Rein was a junior during that time, while Haslem was an athletic senior.

Faith grew up with parents Gloria and Richard Rein in Virginia. She was a notable track runner on her varsity team during that time.

She achieved the remarkable feat of completing her 400m race in just 55 seconds in January 2001 hitting the provisional qualifying mark at that year's SEC Quad meet.

Before her wide college fame, she dated a fellow football player before the breakup. The New York Times confirmed that Faith was later engaged in a not-very-serious, long-distance relationship with another track star.

Faith and Udonis met when both were facing bad luck in love. The NBA star's former girlfriend had cheated on him with another basketball player.

The two initially went on a date to Popeyes and eventually decided to take things seriously. Faith discontinued her track career after tearing her hamstring in her senior year.

Faith pursued a sports broadcasting career in New York for two years before moving in with Udonis in South Florida. She was a production assistant for "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" on HBO for two years.

Udonis Haslem and Faith Rein wedding ceremony took place on 24 August 2013. It was held in Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach in Florida.

The ceremony attracted much media attention and a guest list of A-list celebrities. Fellow NBA stars, including his best friends Dwyane Wade and Lebron James, graced the occasion for the newlyweds. 

The Heat legend walked down the aisle alone, while Faith chose to walk alongside her father. Vera Wang designed her bridal dress, while her shoes were by Christian Louboutin. 

They walked down the altar full of roses while Tupac's "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" was on the music system.

Lifestyle photographer April Belle captured the pair's D-Day for Four Seasons Magazine. The special day had come after 14 years of togetherness and a year after their engagement.

Udonis actually popped the question after returning from his trip to Italy. The power forward woke Rein at 2:30 in the morning and asked her to be his better half after a decade and two kids.

Faith appeared on a January 2023 episode of the "Dear Young Queen" podcast hosted by Ashley Weatherspoon and Alexis Stoudemire.

She talked about her background as a biracial woman, her previous tomboy persona, and her life as a student-athlete turned into a mother.

Udonis Haslem children are Kedonis Haslem, Josiah Haslem and Elijah Haslem, all sons from his two relationships. 

He became a teenage dad to his eldest offspring while his other two boys were born to his long-time girlfriend, Faith.

The NBA veteran maintains a fatherly bond with each of his offspring though he resides with his two younger ones in The Haslem Ranch in Florida.

Eldest Son Kedonis Haslem 

Kedonis was born on 24 December 1998 to Udonis and Keke James in Miami.

The eldest boy of the NBA powerhouse grew up with Keke, while Udonis did not walk away from his paternal duties. While he struggled to support his first child initially, his smooth NBA career earnings helped him in the later days. 

Kedonis attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he played left and right tackle under head coach Roger Harriot.

The eldest Haslem helped his school team to win the Florida 7A State Championship in 2016. He was also named a three-star recruit by Scout.com, Rivals, ESPN and 247 Sports.

Kedonis initially joined Toledo University in 2017 as their offensive lineman. However, he became a redshirt during his freshman year and did not play in the 2018 season. 

Meanwhile, he pursued his Interdisciplinary Studies during his time in Toledo. He then transferred to the University of North Alabama as a Communications major.

Second Son Josiah Haslem

Prior to Josiah, Udonis and Faith had opted to abort their first child in the spring of 2001. Their poor financial status as college students while blooming careers as athletes had made them let go of their first baby.

The Haslem couple welcomed Josiah on 7 January 2007 in Broward County, South Florida. He grew up in a home that included four bedrooms with a yard and a pool.

Unlike his father, who plays basketball, the 16-year-old is a baseball player. He plays for his school's baseball team and looks very likely to pursue a pro baseball career.

He maintains a close bond with Kedonis, as they are often seen hanging out with their pop. Josiah is active on Instagram as @josiahh_5.

Youngest Son Elijah Haslem

Elijah is the youngest member of the athletic Haslem clan. His birth took place on February 18, 2011, two years prior to Udonis and Faith's marriage.

He is a keen basketball fan and does not miss watching his old man play for the Heat. The young lad often makes his presence in the arena.

With Udonis being busy in practice, Kedonis being an adult, and Josiah sharpening his baseball skills, Faith and Elijah are a big team. The two often go out for fun and attend games as a cheering duo. 

Furthermore, Elijah often appears on his Faith's Instagram posts as her company for shopping and vacations.

Haslem's immediate family includes his spouse and three kids. He resides with Faith, Josiah and Elijah at The Haslem Ranch with their six male King Corsos.

The 3-time NBA champion has been open about his struggling household and financial background all this time. While his initial days were not easy, he has secured a happy and comfortable life for his loved ones.

Haslem Parents Story

Udonis Haslem parents are John and Debra Haslem. The NBA champion was born as their child on 9 June 1980 in Miami. 

Udonis' mom Debra was a Puerto Rican who struggled with substance abuse while her son was growing up. She mended her ways in 2001 and retained her motherly ways.

She spoke at numerous treatment centers sharing her story and inspiring people to leave such a way of life. Debra passed away in July 2010 due to urethral cancer.

Udonis Haslem dad John Haslem played as a forward and center for the Stetson Hatters from 1972 to 1974.

Besides his birth parents, the NBA star considers his stepmother Barbara Wooten the guardian angel of his life. As Debra was absent in his life most of the years, Ms. Wooten took care of him.

However, Barabra and John were never married but had been in a relationship all their life. Barbara is the founder of the Udonis Haslem Children Foundation.

Udonis Haslem Siblings

Udonis has many stepbrothers and stepsisters, with whom he grew up. However, he is mainly close to his sister Sheana Haslem.

Sheana celebrates her birthday on November 13 each year. She is active on Instagram as @misshaslem85 but has refrained from opening up to the public.

Apart from that, the power forward has also talked about his other stepsiblings being supportive of his career from the initial days.
