Ellen Rucker is the ex-wife of NBA star Vince Carter. The high school sweethearts tied the knot on July 3, 2004.

However, things didn't quite work out for Vince and Ellen. They divorced two years later, in 2006 on positive terms.

Ellen is originally from South Carolina, USA. She was born to her parents, Douglas Rucker and Ruby Rucker in 1997. 

Carter's former partner is a professional doctor of chiropractic medicine. After staying in this field for over a decade, Ellen decided it was about time to embark on the entrepreneurship journey. 

Ellen is the co-founder and CEO of Rucker Roots. This company sells haircare products like shampoos, conditioners, serums, creams, etc. She started in collaboration with her sister Ione Rucker.

Ellen Rucker Remarried a Politician 

Life has panned out well for Rucker despite her early divorce. Ellen tied the knot with Bakari Sellers in the summer of 2015.  

Ellen is currently living a pleased married life with Bakari in Lancaster. They also have twin daughters, Sady Sellers, and Stokely Sellers, born in 2018.

Bakari is an American attorney, politician, writer, and CNN commentator. He was born on September 18, 1984. 

Sellers was a South Carolina House of Representatives member for the 90th District from 2006 to 2014.
