Zach Edey mom Julia is a retired mechanical engineer. Julia has been actively involved in gardening and beekeeping after her retirement.

Julia Edey height was 5 foot 9 inches when she was in the ninth grade.

High school coaches spotted the latent potential in her basketball skills. Julia was 17 years old when she tried out in front of Canada's junior national team coaches, competing against athletes from around the country.

Moreover, according to WishTV, Julia was born in Toronto and was one of five children raised in a working-class family that took pleasure in their family-run local Chinese takeout restaurant and high marks in school.

But, she was in a quandary since she couldn't afford a trip to Halifax and wasn't sure how her parents would react if she didn't help out at the restaurant for a month.

After that, Julia eventually let the athletic flame go out and sought a profession as a mechanical engineer.

Glen Edey Is A Baseball Coach

Zach Edey dad Glen Edey works as an assistant baseball youth league coach.

Similarly, Glen has been assisting his wife since she retired from engineering; she now works as a beekeeper.

Her interest in beekeeping began when one of her son's teachers at Rolph Road School informed her about her outdoor work.

However, at that time, Edey was too preoccupied with gardening at her Leaside home and her family's Collingwood property.

Glen Edey is around 5 feet and 10 inches tall, shorter than Julia. Zach, who is seven and four, looks down on them as his inspiration.

While she considered launching a nursery, her reading and research on the subject kept leading her back to the necessity for bees to keep a garden flourishing and the importance of bees to the entire ecosystem.

Edey bought a "nuc" of roughly 5,000 bees in her first year of beekeeping in Collingwood in 2018. That year, she concentrated on practicing and learning the skills required to maintain and expand her apiary.
