Tyronn Lue parents are Kim Miller and Ron Lue. Kim Miller raised her three children in Mexico Missouri as a single mother.
The 45-year-old Tyronn boasts an impressive resume in the league as a player and coach. He was promoted to the head coach role by the Clippers on 20 October 2020, after the departure of Doc Rivers.
Lue previously guided the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first-ever NBA championship in 2016 with an astounding 4-3 triumph over GSW.
The former point guard also relished a successful NBA playing career spanning over a decade. He is a two-time NBA champion with the Lakers team which included prominent names like Kobe Bryant, Mark Madsen, and Shaquille O'Neal.
Tyronn later signed with the Washington Wizards and played there for two years before moving to Orlando Magic. Apart from that, he also represented Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks.
The 6 feet tall T-Lue registered 4,710 points and 1,727 assists to go with 943 rebounds playing for different teams in the NBA before bidding adieu to his professional playing career in 2009.
Tyronn Lue Family Life Growing Up
Tyronn Lue dad Ron Lue was sent to prison for dealing substances. The Clippers coach was solely raised by his mother since the very early days.
Ty had a passion for sports from a very early age as he idolized his uncle Jay Graves. Jay was a 6 foot 4 inches tall point guard who flourished at Mexico Senior High School.
Furthermore, Graves became an All-American while playing at Moberly Area Community College. He later played briefly with the Harlem Globetrotters in 1992.
From the beginning, the former NBA champion looked up to his uncle and followed him around the park. He relished training with Jay and picking up his brains.
Lue graduated from Raytown Senior High School in his hometown. He later joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and studied sociology whilst playing basketball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Owing to his splendid collegiate performance that included 1,577 points, 432 assists, 145 three-pointers and 154 steals, his jersey number 10 was retired by the Cornhuskers as a mark of tribute.
T-Lue Looks After His Mother
Tyronn Lue mom Kim Miller was born to Olivia George and Tyrone George in 1957. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2015.
The current Clippers coach speaks very highly of his momma and grandma and credits their upbringing, continuous support, guidance and motivation for whatever he has achieved to date.
T-Lue is a family man with high moral values and tremendous regard for his old fellas. While talking in The Pivot Podcast, Tyronn opened up about how his life changed after being picked in the 1998 NBA Draft.
He proudly spoke about how he had ensured that his matriarch and grandma Olivier didn't have to work for another day since his draft. Lue has been sending them a monthly check regularly for over twenty-five years now.
He said, "My grandma and my mother, they can have anything. They did a lot raising me. If you see all the things they did for me to get to this point. I owe them everything."
Tyronn Has Two Siblings
Tyronn Lue siblings are Gregory Miller and Shakea LaToi Lue. Tyronn shared a memorable affinity with his brother Gregory.
The kinfolk supported Ty from the early days and often used to attend the arena to boost and cheer for their athlete brother.
Tyronn Lue's sister is a professional lawyer currently working for Holt Balivar. Shakea earned her practice license from the Missouri Bar in 2008.
LaToi completed her education in 2005 at the Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Fellow NBA power forward Jayson Tatum is the cousin of Tyronn from Lue's grandfather's side of the family. The 2016 NBA-winning coach has known Tatum since he was only six years old and called him Little Jay.
While speaking in an interview before the match against Celtics, Ty expressed his ecstasy in seeing his cousin growing up so much and making a name for himself and the entire family in the NBA.
Tyronn Lue is not married as of now and does not have any children. Furthermore, he prefers to keep his personal life away from the media.
