WNBA Player In State Farm Commercial are Arike Ogunbowale 2023 WNBA draft, Sue Bird, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum and Jonquel Jones.
Meanwhile, she is not the first WNBA player to sign an ad deal with the insurance giant. Many women pro basketballers have appeared alongside Jake from State Farm.
State Farm goes with its motto, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there," alluring its viewers to choose them for any insurance deal. Meanwhile, basketball players are their main choices to represent them in the big media.
Besides such fun and unique ads, State Farm has powered NBA and WNBA by sponsoring the draft main event annually and providing arena space for varsity and game nights.
State Farm has covered each sport by providing arenas, stadiums, and research centers. On the other hand, striking an ad deal with them for a player quickly marks personal growth of fame and popularity.
Below are the list of WNBA players who have been the face of the company for a while now:
Arike Ogunbowale - 2023
Arike Ogunbowale of the WNBA Dallas Wings is the newest State Farm ambassador in 2023. Her acting skills set their foot with the State Farm commercials that air during the NBA Playoffs.
The company's latest ad features the point guard with the Shark Tank's shark Mark Cuban in a role reversal in a daydream by Arike, as seen on YouTube.
In the 31-second creative presentation, the WNBA star asks agent Jake from State Farm whether the company provides reliable coverage even if she were a "different kind of baller."
She talked with Jake while holding a Wilson WNBA ball considered to be one of the best indoor basketballs in the market.
The following scene shifts to a daydream showing the billionaire Mark Cuban selling Arike the "Mark's Cubans" (sandwiches) and "Mark's Tube-ans" (socks). Though she takes a pass on the pitches, State Farm assures that they fulfill any what-ifs.
Arike was clad in her favorite shoes, the Swarovski Forces, and had a leg up on a desk during her time with Cuban.
In her interview with Complex, the Wings player confirmed that she showed her natural self while the shoes added a flare to her acting. Hence, the two-time WNBA All-Star MVP could execute her acting skills with much ease.
Kelsey Plum - 2023
Kelsey Plum was the star of the State Farm Insurance commercial throughout the March Madness 2023. She appeared alongside Jake from State Farm and the former Mavericks guard, JJ Reddick.
Reddick seems confused about the company's policy if he moves around the country. However, the "Rules of Basketball" book and Kelsey's immaculate shots from either a certain distance or from downtown impress Reddick.
The commercial further told its viewers to watch NBA and WNBA on ESPN, as State Farm is their associate partner.

Kelsey, the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game's MVP, had teased WNBA about making the rules of the ad official in real games, too in a tweet.
She currently plays as the point guard of the Las Vegas Aces. Meanwhile, she is the gold medal winner in Women's 3x3 basketball at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Darren Waller wife Plum has been playing in the league since being drafted by San Antonio Stars at the 2017 WNBA Draft.
Jonquel Jones - 2022
Jonquel Jones appeared in an April 2022 commercial for the State Farm after her win as the outgoing season's WNBA MVP. She appeared alongside two NBA players, Trae Young, and Boban Marjanović.
In the 30-second creative ad, a State Farm agent and Young walks into a grocery store, and the latter finds it difficult to reach a jar of pickles. The 6 foot 6 inches power forward helps him with it.
Following the scene, Jones cannot reach a yellow mustard jar herself but the 7 foot 4 inches tall Boban helps her with it. Though she thanks the NBA giant, she feels a little upset that she could not do it herself.
Boban then asks everyone if he needs to reach anything else, to which Jones replies no and walks away along with Young. The State Farm agent then mentions that the company covers each budget like a good neighbor ending the commercial.
Jones reached new heights of fame after the ad and received positive reviews from the public. In her talks with Hartford Courant, Jones revealed that her family was excited to see her in the frame.
The New York Liberty player had the first drive to New York at 3 in the morning after playing a home game that night to reach Los Angeles for the ad shoot. The shoot took a whole day of filming and she immediately flew back to the East Coast to be up for her practice.
Sabrina Ionescu - 2021
Sabrina Ionescu joined The Point God Chris Paul in two State Farm Commercials in 2021. Both ads started with the same script until the end moment, which surprised everyone.
Each 30-second ad shows Chris and Sabrina at a home court practicing until Jake from State Farm comes to click a commercial for the insurance company with a banner.
However, the basketball duo seems unaware of the news and is provided with a script on sight. Chris reads aloud the script where he is supposed to smile and say that he loves State Farm's surprisingly great rates and then suddenly turn into a basketball.
The surprised Chris turns into a basketball at that moment, startling Sabrina.
Meanwhile, another ad follows the same script until Chris reads the script where he and Sabrina both turn into life-size cardboard cutouts of themselves.
Sabrina joining into the fun between a regular Chris and Jake for State Farm was another positive decision for the insurance company.
The 5 feet 11 inches Walnut Creek native WNBA star is a teammate to Jonquel Jones. Sabrina plays as a point guard and is the NCAA all-time leader in career triple-doubles and the Pac-12 Conference all-time leader in assists.
She is also the only NCAA Division I basketball player to record 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
Sue Bird - 2014
Sue Bird appeared in a State Farm commercial in 2014 alongside Chris Paul. Paul played with Los Angeles Clippers back then, while Sue was with Seattle Storm.
The ad depicted State Farm’s "National Bureau of Assists" campaign, and Sue appeared as her State Farm agent "twin" sister Summer. Meanwhile, Paul has his agent twin brother, "Cliff," in the ad.
Bird had confirmed her partnership with the Paul twins in a tweet back then.
The ad also features Sebastian Curry and Darius Lillard, twin brothers of Steph Curry and Damian Lillard, midway through the commercial. Finally, Don Stockton, John Stockton's insurance agent's twin brother, joins the four pairs of twins.
Cliff first meets Summer and other NBA figures' twin siblings, making the commercial a big hit due to its unique approach and vast cast.
Bird had become one of the first WNBA players to appear alongside many NBA players in such a big project.
Sue has retired from her pro career as of 2022. She only played with Seattle Storm since the 2002 WNBA Draft.
Besides State Farm, she also appeared in other multi-national ads as a leading figure in the field.
